@bshalcomb Its amazing to see him live. He came to my school (Florida State) and gave a masterclass and played with us in the top wind ensemble. He is the nicest guy and completely modest as well. A wonderful role model!

He taught a master class at Texas Tech when I attended and he played Someone To Watch Over Me on flugelhorn and it was so pure and soft it sounded like a flute. He is not loud. He is very powerful.
I’m a few years late, but there are parts where you can hear in his tone that he is playing louder, but the sound isn’t actually getting louder. This is probably a microphone problem.
