Thanks it was tuas first pass of the gAme and to hill in a live game. First deep pass too. It’s like being mad at Steph curry for missing a 3 Pointer in his first 3pt attempt in a live game. You have to get a feel for it and warm up in the game

I've seen a bunch of passes from Mahomes to Hill off scrambles where Hill broke off his route and got so open that he would stop and wait on the ball, and still have so much separation that he would make big yards after the catch. But the Tua haters are going to claim every pass Mahomes ever threw to Hill hit him right in stride. Tua threw the ball away from the safety where only Hill could catch it. If it had been thrown a couple of yards further on the same line Tyreek could have kept his feet and scored, but I'll take a 51 yard gain anytime.

Mahomes is great, i think hes the most talented thrower I've ever seen, but he still human. He underthrew tyreek all the time. The guy is stupid fast when running away from people. The average completion percentage on deep passes is like 38%. People see highlights, not lowlights. The pass was fine. Hill is amazing at tracking the ball on deep throws and adjusting. Unlike, say, Odell. You're gonna love the ones where he blows by a guy, and runs backwards to track it and catch it while running backwards. 😅 maintaining separation while backing up. Only tyreek. Hes a good dude. We will be fine, and the phins got a generational weapon if they use him right. I'm rooting for your guy Tua too. I always root for guys the media seem to have a grudge with, and I think they're extremely unfair to him.

And that was his job, his responsibility, to make sure they coached the players up correctly. And he didn't know how to make the most out of the pieces he had on offense. McDaniel seems to be the type of coach who will quickly figure out how to maximize his players' strengths and hide their weaknesses, kind of like Belichick.

Talking about speed, Jaylen Waddle is probably the closest thing in the NFL to Tyreek and he didn't play tonight. McDaniel bringing in Mostert, Edmonds (who is the #1 but didn't play tonight) and Sony Michel suggests a running back by committee approach. They're probably going to have to cut or trade one of Gaskin or Ahmed who were their top 2 backs the last couple of years.

Dolphins fan here who LOVED watching the 49ers last year (imo, Deebo is the league's greatest player). I even drafted Mostert in fantasy early because I was so confident in his playmaking ability (didn't work out, lol), so to have him end up here feels amazing. All the best to SF and their fans this year!

Plus it looks like a deep post route so look like tua was throwing to a spot. If it was way under thrown it would have been right behind hill but it was to the left so for him to run to. Tua has the arm or else he physically wouldn’t be launching 60+ yard passes in the air in camp vs teams in practice
