Philadelphia Eagles vs. New England Patriots | 2023 Week 1 Game Highlights 

as an Eagles fan props to Mac Jones and the Patriots they had a great game. Eagles definitely had some sloppy play and needs to get the rust off but i’m glad we got the W. Gg Patriots!

As a Pats fan, this was very evenly matched overall. Grats the the Eagles, and am excited to see more out of us.

Proud of my patriots today. They could’ve folded after the fumble and the INT but they didn’t. They hung in and fought the defending NFC Champions to the last minute. Proud of my team

This was a very good game. I was pretty impressed with Mac Jones bouncing back from the pick-6 with a critical TD before the end of the half. It wasn’t a pretty win for the eagles, but they can take what was given to them, which was a barn burner

Brian Johnson coached timid. Jalen Carter's one arm tackle of Mac Jones was what I will remember of this game. That man is strong!!

Low-key huge day from Jake Elliot today aside from the missed PAT. Tough to hit those 50+ yarders in ugly weather like this. Kudos to him.

If you come this close to defeating a team like the Eagles, with their star power, then I can live with that.

Really frustrating that it feels like we threw the game away with mistakes, but very happy that the offense looks MUCH improved. Mac really caught fire. Defense gonna be elite again.

NE looks really good, I think they'll surprise a lot of teams. Eagles need to get better offensively. Brian Johnson going up against Bellichick was tough I understand, but he's gotta get better.

Really proud of how the Pats performed. They definitely surpassed expectations. I feel really good about this season. Shoutout to our defense for containing the offense, shoutout to the heavily battered O-Line for a great performance. Disappointed we couldn’t win it for Brady, but overall, great effort and performance.

Turns out you give the Patriots a real OC and they look like a real team. But there's a lot of small details and bad decisions that could've made the difference and won the game. Let's see how they clean things up

As an Eagles fan, the Patriots can be contenders for the AFC East. This close of beating a #2 team of the league shows that they improved super well. Hope for them for having a winning season.

For the patriots , They have many good young players , they shouldn’t be slept on. For the Eagles it’s the first game their starters played in on offense since the super bowl and to have still won after playing a horrible game on offense isn’t so bad , they’ll pick it up eventually.

really knew mac could produce with a competent supporting class. glad bourne is looking like #1 we've needed. and TE's dont look too shabby i have hope for this offense. and our def will only get better.

There were a number of bright spots in this game. If the Pats can iron out the kinks, its going to be an interesting season I think. Go Pats!

Jalen Carter is a beast of making the scrimmage to focusing on a great play on attacking the Patriots defense.

I really don’t like Pats but that 4th quarter vibes were hot. Mac really wanted to shine in front of TB, but those field goals didn’t let them win the game. Also props to Eagles defense with their great performances.

happy for mac jones. He really got messed up last year and us patriots fans ran him through the gutter. booing him of the field after an injury. then once again booing him after that pick six. To respond with three touchdown passes on one of the best defenses was amazing

Love it when these teams play each other. I refer to it as the American Game since you got the Patriots and the American bird, Eagles. Such a classic matchup as their logos and uniforms clash perfectly when lined up against each other. 2 Superbowls against each other, hopefully many more. Wish they could play each year in an outta conference rivalry game. But I want their next matchup to have Eagles wear Kelly green uniforms and patriots wear their uniforms from the mid 90's. That was the best when their uniforms clashed when these squads played against each other in 90s!

The early turnovers were huge for the eagles. Judging by how the game went offensively. I dont think the eagles wouldve scored a td if it wasnt for slay and the early fumble by zeke which gave the ball at like 20 for the eagles for an easy redzone drive. The pats actially did something on offense and a lot of it. And their defense played exceptional so jjsy think about that

Hurts really got bailed out at the end there. He made the game loosing mistake but fortunately his defence covered for him.

So close, Pats! They made some big plays to stay alive and battled to the end. That was a great game.

Let’s go patriots i still think we will win a playoff game this year we just got to win games like this great game today go pats💙❤️.

The Pats fought hard and tried to bring it back. If we played the first 4 minutes like the last 56 we might've beat them, but I'm happy it was at least close.

I’ll take 1-0 and it’s obviously the first week so it’ll be a bit sloppy, but hopefully the struggles today will be fixed and I expect them to be.

Such a great last quarter. I wish Bill had opted to go for the field goals towards the end but I'm happy that it ended up being closer than what I had expected. Felt like the Pats offense was much better but all those holding calls in the end were sloppy.

Not a bad showing for the new Billy O'Brien offense even with a couple of subs on the OL and missing a couple of WRs. The defense answered questions about being able to contain a running QB. Gonzalez proved he can play even against and AJ Brown. ST made a couple or three nice returns to give the offense good field position. It's not the joke of a team we saw in 2022!

Patriots fan should be excited for their Team. Mac Jones looks good, they finally got a good offense. Their Defense coach by Bill will never be bad!!! Eagles fans should also be excited.. they kept their energy from last season!! This was one of my favorite game this week

The Patriots gave the game away in the 1st quarter. Tom Brady may have been present in the stadium but he was sitting up in the owner's box. That, along with how the Patriots played in the 1st quarter, make it clear that the glory days are definitely over.

Ok so that win wasn't as pretty as I expected, but a win is a win And at least our defense looks like they haven't changed any momentum from last season Our offense though, yeah it as ok I honestly feel like it was the O-line that was the issue in this game, but yeah Let's hope we can improve from this and have clearner games later on Also I hope Bradberry and Deen can get better because I don't want injuries to plaque us again like that season

As a Eagles fan, I'm somewhat happy with the win. But, our play calling on offense and Jalen's play were nothing to be happy about. Jalen does not play well in the rain. This is the worse I seen the Eagles play in several years.

Eagles new assistant coaches were outcoached. Take away the deflection interception by Slay and Elliot fumble and Pats not only win but dominate this game. Hurts either threw into coverage or threw the ball away all day. 79 yards at halftime? Eagles D gave up huge plays because defensive coordinator was not putting guys into position to make plays. Individual efforts by Fletcher Cox helped where the coordinator failed. Long season ahead.

I'm proud of my pats we will surprise some people this year.
