Scarfo went way over the top with killing his own guys. He was jealous and suspicious of everyone. His attitude of "killing people and blasting them right in the street" like an old time gangster film was not a good idea. He went way too far with it. The SalvieTesta hit was outrageous. That was his best friends son and he didn't even break any rules. Scarfo used his calling off the engagement with Merlino's daughter as a reason for people to dislike him and he used that as an excuse to kill him.
