For Phillip Ko Fei to speak that way about Bruce Lee means that there was nothing fake about him. Phillip Ko is an amazing martial artist himself and most likely one of the best to hit the big screen and he feels like Bruce was better. I cried when both of these men died. I was a little kid when Bruce died. He was big with us in the hood. I wanted to visit his grave when I was in Seattle but never got to. Amituofo, may they both Rest in Power.
Philip Ko Feng was my DUDE!!! HE WAS THE SHIT!! I loved him more as a bad guy than Hwang Jang Lee!! Ko Feng was a beast in The Hero and the Dragon and The Fists, The Kicks and The Evils!! I hated when he was killed in the movies. A shame he's passed away!!
No Time machine needed. Just watch the Bob Wall sequence from the movie. This guy's recollection is really poor. He did not use the kick demonstrated to knock the bottles out of his hands. This sidekick came before the bottles and it was a right sidekick not a left sidekick. The actual sequence can be found all over youtube.

Jim Kelly who saw the incident said that when Bruce kicked the bottle as demonstrated he was into a back spin kick that was supposed to end that sequence but Bob Wall didn't drop the bottle. Jim Kelly said, "Bob came to me and said you know I thought Bruce was going to kick the bottle out of my hand"...I said to Bob Wall, you still should've dropped the bottle because that's what the scene called for, for you to drop the bottle and he didn't". Bob made his name and money off of his collaborations with Bruce yet theres that interview of him with Joe Lewis slagging Bruce off which showed his true hatred of him. He also claimed Bruce used the kung fu crap and had bad technique.
That might be the 1st kick in the beginning but I'm sure it's the wrong one the guy was showing, Bruce actually did a kick that I use to do in Taekwondo... and I use it in street fight and its really effective and unexpectedly good for removing rock, knife even a pistol , training martial arts or boxing is a must this days ...
