The Hearts challenge amounted to not very much - gubbed. As good as Celtic were, you have to say they Hearts were disappointing. The main challengers Rangers started with a howler, a Tavernier own goal. However Kilmarnock shot themselves in the foot, conceding a penalty and Wright getting sent off. It all hinges on the Derby game. Rangers have to start better, they are prone to giveaways at the start of games. If they go behind early doors on Saturday, it’s Celtic champions again. At least we don’t have Goldson to gift Celtic goals as he has in the past. The challenge to look out for is Maeda and Tavernier. If Maeda harasses Tavernier like he did in the last game, Rangers will be on the back foot. Celtic need an early goal to gain the initiative, if Rangers settle quickly, this could be an intriguing game.
