The Philippines has SOME indirect Spanish influence through Mexico (the one actually governing it for 300 yrs) but its culture and language are still very southeast asian
Mexican slaves and prisoners of mestizo and native. Mexican came. Manila galeon recipes where influenced and culture too u guys still act more Latin too me tho
@@mdc3148true I thought they where half I’m Mexican no Spaniard married my family tree im white like this cause of Spanish raping natives of Mexico Pero my dna is 70 percent Spanish 30 percent Indio
The Philippines was part of the viceroyalty of Mexico, and many who came were from regions like Mexico, Ecuador, and Guatemala, including friars, slaves, and officials.
Nobody would be alive today who lived in those times. They probably just lament the erosion and displacement of the Spanish culture and language with American culture and English.
Finally Nadir you are here now in my country, enjoy your vacation & have fun. I'm your follower since pandemic. visit my Palawan province sure that you can't regret it. Take care....
If you have a Filipino ancestor, it's indeed possible to have south asian DNA. A lot of precolonial Filipino kingdoms have Hindu-Buddhist influences. It was stated that the founder of Rajahnate of Cebu was a minor prince of the Tamil Chola dynasty.
Northern Philippines would have been owned by China. Southern Philippines would have been part of Malaysia. Unknown where the middle would have become. If the Spanish were never there.
The first sentence you said is so problematic...no one ever said that even countries that is been colonized. Idk what are you trying to say, but the way you said it sounds like " a white man discover you, now your in the map... your a country"
They were different countries prior to the conquest. The entity that is the Philippines came into existence because Spain conquered the islands and forced them together
Nope. Filipinos are more diverse. also culturally , a mix of the east (southeast and east asian influences ) and west(Spanish and American influences).
Filipinos are half Caucasians because of Spanish blood. Cambodians are French colony, they have French….The French are higher classes than Spanish. Cambodians have identity and history they could be proud of. Filipinos dont have identity. They don’t even know if they are Asian, Pacific Islander or Hispanic 😅😅😅😅 Hispanic but can’t speak Spanish. Spanish blood but not according to the DNA. Pretentious 😮
the spaniards might had influence in what we are today but most of their nfluence had been eroded and most filipinios hate the spaniards for their cruelty, physically and psychologically. Its a blessing that the Americans came...o
Most Filipinos don't hate Spanish or Spain. And the Americans are a million times worse than the Spanish ever were. They are no blessing. "Physical and psychological cruelty" by the Spanish are highly exaggerated and mostly a myth. Nothing but black propaganda made by the Americans back then to paint Spain as a bad guy while painting Americans as the "saviours" but in reality they are not. Lmao Keep making stuff up. Nationalist Americanized hypocritcal pup.
most filipinos or filipinos have been brainwashed to hate spanish? america killed a lot of filipinos and left the philippines empty handed after world war two.
Philippines was Ruled by Hindu before Spanish came. Chinese were traded Philippines before Spanish came. Have their own language and govt. Spanish ruined the old language.
Wtf u taking, how tf would indians get to there?? And yes chinese were there before the spanish but where never expelled, spain made schools to teach spanish but never imposed it, it was just the lenguage of diplomatics and people with money while the rest had it as a complementary lenguage the ones imposing a lenguage where north americans
Well Filipinos aren't culturally Hispanic because they no longer speak Spanish, they actually work hard, they study, they've an education, the Filipino parents encourages their children to study to have better lives, many of them through remittance they modernized their nations, many of them are kind, considerate people and they're not alcoholics.
😂😂 The fact that you think all Filipinos are educated means you have never been to the Philippines..and that you think all Hispanic people are poor, uneducated alcoholics is because you haven't been to spanish-speaking countries or you only went to a tourist resort (which are usually in impoverished, coastal areas). Philippines is no better off than most of Latin America. From a Latino who loves the Philippines and has in fact visited. Just stating the facts.
