On this Pursuit, we’re putting a “twist” on Philippine’s beloved water buffalo/carabao. We made carabao tomahawk steaks! For a guy who loves some good ol’ medium rare… this one hit home. Since moving to Bohol, it’s been pretty hard to find a decent tomahawk steak out here to be honest but who would’ve thought that carabao would be perfect! We also made some of mine and the family’s favorite Cambodian noodle soups, kathiew! Fun fact: we had to shoot this 3 times! From getting our 1st footage corrupted, to not having the correct cut for tomahawk steak (remember, harvesting carabaos are used mainly for traditional dishes so butchers aren't too familiar with this type of cut) and lastly, having to wait one week before the next carabao butchering begins. This pursuit was definitely not the easiest one but definitely one to remember!
Thanks for all your support and catch you guys on the next Pursuit 🤙
