husband speaking age 81.5 When my wife was in school in Mandaue, pre college and college, there was no AC. Kids today are soft. Even in the U.S. my high school and college didn't have AC. No fans either, - I sure feel miserable in Cebu if the power is out and I don't have AC at night. Poor me, soft as can be. 😄

You made a wise choice to move out of Angeles City. I just came back for a visit after being in Thailand for two years and the place seems to have gotten worse. More trash, dog poop, and broken sidewalks. Prices have also gone up a lot.

I am the old white dude who beached himself in Duamaguete. The immigration authorities thought I was "hazardous waste" and put me on a plane back to the States which, they believed, had the proper advanced facilities to handle dying three hundred pound land wales. So I am still alive swimming in a big fish tank in the Bronx Zoo. Tell gran-maw to send over some fish. (She can hide 'em in the "Little Princess" back pack.) I get tired of the canned sardines.

I rented a van to drive to my wife’s family it seem like they all wanted to borrow the van and then I remembered about the Armstrong guy something bad happened and they took his passport and he was not able to leave. I could only imagine if they had an accident in my van the foreigner would probably get sued and lose my passport and not be able to leave until that was settled, thinking right

Hey MARKO I was just wondering why haven't you learned to speak the language like Fatima and even Maria can speak the language aren't you curious what they are saying sometimes. And just so you know you are always saying that Fatima has a big Bute. FATIMA HAS a smaller Bute then millagen she still looks good But her Bute is a little bit bigger then Fatimas.
There is no incentive. They code switch all the time between dialects. They don't annunciate. And if you try to speak their language they will critique your emphases of syllables. Never mind that they mispronounce English words all the time and you just roll with it. Just speak English to them with a mouth of food and talk real fast... see if they can understand that. Lol. You will be held to a high standard when trying to speak the language here. Trust and believe.
