Mark, I appreciate your authenticity and positivity. You're making the world a better place by allowing us to experience it through your eyes (and taste buds) in your own way. Congratulations on the growth and success, I think you deserve it.
Adam Blakley I don't mean to sound negative but I can't ignore your stupidity. He is not making the world a better place with you sitting down, watching him eat food on your phone or tablet. Get real. His experience is solely for YOUR ENTERTAINMENT! Again, get real.
Mark please next time when you go back to Philippines. please visit Bicol province.. You gonna love the food there.. coz u love spicy try the laing and the bicol express 😋😋😋
This man is so positive! He has no issues at all eating in a karinderya with ants surrounding his plates. He ate isaw and mango with bagoong. I salute you Mark!
It's just so awesome how most Filipinos can speak and understand English even if some of them didn't get the chance to go to school or finished college. It only shows that Filipinos are linguist in nature! We can adapt to anything, seriously! Proud Filipino here! I missed Philippines.
I love when mark have a positive review for everything he taste....everytime i watch his video i felt proud when he always have a great time here in our country. ...
Been binge watching your Philippines vlogs and I must say yours is the most comprehensive feature of Philippine street food! Amazing! Never seen any other vloggers covered as much as you did! I’m so impressed!
0.60 cents for a whole prepped fresh coconut??? A coconut here in Florida at a local restaurant is like $6.50(and its not even as big as the one in this video)
That's Because Coconuts Are More Common in Philippines Than in Florida, The More Common a Food Is To Find, The More Cheaper It Becomes, Also Add the Sales Tax as Well
Your tour guide is wrong about lagro market. Its actually a litex market. btw, thank you for trying our lechon manok (roasted chicken), hope you liked it. :)
It looks delicious! My husband is from the Philippines, we're hoping to go visit next Christmas after I give birth to our 3rd kid. Definitely going to have my brother-in-law take us to the market so I can try the chicken!!!
real street foods in quezon city metro manila philippines--u're down-to-earth mark--i can't imagine myself eating as u're eating..GODBLESS u and thanks to remie for makin this ur trip video possible! ..u hadn't gone to more pleasant places to eat in metro manila-- 😯
@@fernandezzaramaru5240 I think she really meant it. I love isaw but some of my friends haven't eaten innards and balut, too afraid of the taste and hygiene risk lol
she didnt bring Mark to great places to eat. maybe she should bring them in places she knows the food so that she cant came up with answers to Mark's question with "i dont know" "i think so"
It's because Filipino food is bland and boring. I've eaten it my whole life and I've never been obsessed with it like my cousins are! Out of all the Asian countries, the Philippines uses the least spices. Maybe it's because i like heavily spiced hot food too, but it's all just soaked in vinegar
Going back to the Philippines once in a while. I really love the Philippines because the food and basically everything is budget friendly and the weather is the best during winter months! Thanks Mark for discovering the Philippines!
That is true can't argue with that. Woman and men normally have different taste bud. Men generally like more of bitter, saltier and strong items that is why even girls drinks are sweeter cause they can sense it more than men. Woman generally have elevated senses touch, taste, smell etc. They have more taste buds then men. Google it =)
Kdvazz Yeah right, Mark is in Litex Market going to Payatas landfill site and it is a wrong place for food. You can see in a video there is a lot of garbage truck passed by in a road.
Tatz Kulas - OMG ba't naman dun sya dinala ng friend nya, kulang na lang pagpag ang ipakain kay Mark... haha. That's very un-Filipino, dapat pag may bisita ka dalhin mo sa maayos na lugar... Banawe Ave or Philcoa has lots of much better lechon manok.
Lmao all ive been hearinf her say is "i think so" like girl Mark is asking uuu and udont know it tooo. ur his tour guide u should give us infos, entertain us about it lol not act like a Tourist like Mark is.
Mark is such a nice person, that he finds it difficult to criticize the food in a negative way. When I was watching the Mexico street food videos, his reactions were priceless. Head tilt to the left, slowly closing his eyes, taking a deep breath, and going, “Oooooooh!” As his eyes open wide. That’s when you know he loves the food.
Out of all the countries that Mark visited, only a video about the Philippines recieved tons of backlash, and it came from the very people who lived there...
That's because usually when he goes somewhere, you can see he is really enjoying the food, and in this vid you could see that he was not, more often then not. You could literally see it in his face. Everyone already knows what he does and says when something is really good to him.
yes and as a Filipino, I am very disappointed and sad about this. (I'm not good in english, I'm saying this because maybe there's a fellow again who will correct the grammar. pity them.)
Hello to Mr Mark W. I have enjoyed some of your RU-vid work for like seven years. It's amazing to see the Philippines through your lens. Thank you for enjoying Filipino food. I also love your travels everywhere, including in California. Your love for food and the people who prepare it for you really shines through. Kudos, and God bless.
barflyojsh 18 It was mostly university junk food anyway. The kind of snacks that broke college kids eat. Tasty and nostalgic, but not amazing. He seemed to like the Halal food at the end, though.
I must say Mark... you have a very special wife... she's always there following and supporting you in all of your videos in that hot Philippines weather, kudos to her and to you too... 👍🏼😊
Mark man i hope you enjoy your trip but i still hope you comeback someday with beter tpur guide you still havent seen it all cant blame here but theres a lot pf amazing places where you can eat traditional food and all freah
I get the feeling that Mark could eat high school cafeteria lunches and be like, *head tilt, closed eyes* "mmmm, mwow. That rubberband from the lunch lady's hair is bitter, but balances the sweetness of the skin flakes with a hint of cocoa butter. Oh yeah, and that (*points hard at something*) cardboard from the small cereals absorb that milk perfectly to give it a great texture. I'm gonna' add little bit of chili peppers now to this orange juice." *closes eyes and enjoys* "oh yeah" *nods* "that's fantastic....."
if you want to see mark doing his legendary face expression of good food..then dont let him eat a lot of sweets..he is not into it as far as i watched most of his videos..
Mate Filipinos use ingredient in a sachet called magic syrup. I am living with a Filipino family they used that all the time even i get confused sometimes if they say magic syrup...
I think we were expecting a story of how its a top secret marinade, handed down from generation to generation but turns out its a packet of Magic sarap! Imagine mark asking the vendor of his noodle soup about how he gets such an amazing broth and being told...knorr cube buddy!
Thank you very much for showing and trying our maranao dishes 🥰. It is not common for other filipino about the muslims dishes. im very proud to be maranao
The food was all kind of sweet without much spice (except for the Halal food at the end), which really isn't Mark's thing. It reminds me of his Korea videos where he didn't like any of the food either because it was all sweet.
krnpowr Korean food is usually spicy with quite a bit of sweetness. Most of their dishes have either sugar or sweet syrup as part of the recipe. Mark prefers spicy-sour-savory food, and I've never seen him lean for anything that's even a bit sweet.
Ang perpekto tlaga ng mga filipino! Mahilig mangpuna jusko! I enjoy nyo nlang manood hindi yong dami nyo pa kuda! Imbes na support nyo kapwa nyo filipino dinadown nyo pa! Ugali nyo talaga!
Jan Edjmeister Filipinos are known to being NEGATIVE and jealous. . Street vendors needed exposures for more customers and betterment of their life. Being poor does not mean DIRTY. Constructive comment is good. Spend your dirty comment to those corrupt people instead.
I am Indian. Now we are in lockdown because covid19 effect.every day I see your videos .these videos are very fantastic.philiphines food is very near to Indian food.
Wow! So much negative comments in here. Too much gossip. So what if she doesn't know what she's talking about? Who cares? Negative comments here shows that you're true Filipino. You're really painting your flag how you like to criticized, judge and gossip. Even the owner of the lechon manok was bashing his neighbor covendor.
I assumed by the reaction of Mark that he is not too impressed with the food. The tour guide seem not oriented with the best street foods in QC. Any carinderia, vendor will do. They she have researched the area before going.
Hi Mark. I started following you. I love watching your food adventure. You always makes my mouth water when you eat and try everything you buy especially when you were in the Philippines. Thank you for showing how good Filipino dish was. Good job and I will continue watching your videos.
I think that Mindanao food is little bit similar with Indonesian food. The chicken with shredded coconut is similar with Ayam Goreng Serundeng and that vegetables soup is similar with Sayur Lodeh..
Wow sir mark you are been already in the Philippines. Is a good time to you sir to try all the food you like to eat here in the Philippines hoping you like it some I think is not good but it's okey..welcome sir mark manila
