First, it is in our law that even the president cannot give up our sovereign territory. Also, China did not join the arbitration. If they join, then you can keep on waving it to them, but they did not. It is an arbitration, which needs two parties to participate. Basically, it was a waste of money. The ruling basically mention the already EEZ rule. The ruling also did not specify who owns the islands. It does not come with policing or any form of force implementation.
