A close of of the scanlines visible on the Sony PVM 20M4E that is connected to a Philips NMS 8220.
It is connected as:
NMS8220 SCART output
Male to male SCART cable
Bandridge SCART switch (auto sensing)
Male SCART to 4x BNC cable
Sony PVM 20M4E RGB + EXT SYNC BNC's
It also works fine on my Sony PVM 14M4E.
It is a noticeable improvement over using the composite input. Even on such a low resolution.

hey! great quality there! I'm trying to record some PVM footage myself. What settings (framerate and shutter speed) did you use for your camera? I'm always getting banding while trying to record.

./gf/山川順一 I used my Canon EOS 600D set it to video and adjust the shutter speed to get aligned with the frame rate which is 50fps here. There is slight banding. also, start and change it a few times as sometimes this can resolve the banding too.

Thanks for the answer! I'm trying to record from my PVM which is displaying a modded PAL PS1 through SCART, which is running an NTSC-J game. My PVM is the 14M4E model. I am not sure even what frequency the tv is displaying. Is it 60Hz because it's a japanese game or 50Hz because it's a PAL system? I tried recording in 50fps, 24fps and 25 fps. and all of them give me banding and/or flicker. The biggest problem is actually the flicker, because if I manage to set it up to remove the banding, the screen flickers. That's why i asked about specific settings. If you might have any insight, I would greatly appreciate it.

Maybe you shutter speed is too slow. You can increase the ISO sensitivity so that shorter shuttspeeds are possible.
