Just want to say, as a Mets fan, I appreciated how professional the Phillies player's were in giving the Mets kudos, but Harper, Wheeler and Castellanos all showed up big time and the Phillies did play great defense, again Harper being most impressive.

not going to lie, the main thing i want to see is rob thompson moved first. i dont know if this is a hot take, i havent liked him since we choked against the diamondbacks and made 0 adjustments in that series. he tried this time a little more this series and the bats were cold, i cant place full blame on him there, but still made very questionable decisions with the bullpen and hes just not a coach that fires guys up. i want that so bad. i think its time to turn the rob thompson chapter

He consistently makes dumb decisions and playing players when he shouldn't, he's not a motivational coach and these guys need that, it was obvious in this series we need a coach with some fire. @@Betteroffdead1 there's only so much you can do when your entire team for the most part doesn't show up to the post season and can't hit the ball. all managers make mistakes, very few managers make the world series and back to back playoff pushes with 90+ win seasons. like i said, the phillies have a lot of issues, thompson is way down the list.

This team needs a leader. Someone who isn’t gonna be buddy buddy when it’s rough and get people in line. There was no emotion in the dugout during the Mets series. Even ranger was joking on the mound with Mets players during the game.

Should have traded for Brent Rooker. He ended his season at .293 BA, 39 HR, and 112 RBI, which would have made him the best hitter on the team. Instead we got a bench player (Austin Hayes) from the Orioles who did NOTHING for them.

Rooker is basically a DH. He can't play the field. If we didn't have Schwarber, then he would have been a logical target. Hays was definitely an awful trade though.

@@nathanielhutnick9722 yes you are correct for this year because of an elbow issue (which he’s having surgery on), though he can play in the outfield. For this run I would have no issue having Schwarber in LF. Heck, Pat Burrell played LF, and he might have been the slowest pro athlete in the history of sports. This team showed issues from mid-season on, and certainly anyone could see by the trade deadline that this struggle to score runs against decent pitching was clear as day. It did not surprise me against the Mets in this series.

Nice video. Thanks for publishing it. Turner needs / likes to hit lead-off. Schwarber (2020s version of Rob Deer) shouldn’t never be leading off. Thomson has no clue how to handle a bullpen (don’t pitch a reliever who lost confidence - ended up throwing 2 WPs last game) & stop using closers in the middle innings. Bohm & Marsh each forgot how to hit. If Thomson stays, please hire a bench coach who knows baseball strategy as this guy needs help in that area.

@@kashirwin Justin Crawford will be starting in the OF by July. No one else below is ready. I’d trade Turner in a heartbeat. He’s not a very good defensive SS and he’s been very inconsistent hitting. Aidan Miller isn’t close to ready though so Sosa would have to fill in.

Core are elite, no doubt. Getting Soto would bolster this team and wipe out need for so much platooniing. Bloated contracts on middle-age players worries me, but most of all is our lack of fight and our inability to adjust to pitching? Where's the dude who provides the spark (Rollins, Virtorino, Utley). Turner was supposed to be it, but he ain't.

Thomson! I'm so tired of constantly repeating same cycle in Philly. Thomson is a cheerleader and a pushover. there are times when a manager needs to throw equipment around the clubhouse and curse. Phillies were in decline for months. months. Manager has to wake them up and get those lazy entitled millionaires attention!

Castellanos, Marsh, Hays, and all the backend bullpen fill ins like Banks, all need to go. Moving Bohm would be a mistake as would Rojas, and I don’t know what value to the Phillies Castellanos is. He’s way too streaky. Justin Crawford should be ready by July next year.

Before watching i just wanna state what i think they should do. Get a new Manager, get an upgrade at 3rd base, and left field. maybe also shortstop and move turner to center, maybe. trade realmuto and go with Rafael Marchan. Lastly upgrades at SP and RP.

The Phillies biggest mistake was not letting the best h hitter in the organization play. That would be Justin Crawford who hits just like his dad Carl Crawford who had a 290 career average led the league in steals 4 times and triples 3 times. Justin Crawford has been on or near the top in batting average at every level so far. Unlike his cousin J.P Crawford who is very slow Justin is very fast. He should have been in centerfield and Schwarber hit clean up.

@@robertlosasso4222 No .Rob Thomson is an excellent Manager. He can only manage the players on his team. The job of getting players to Phillies is the general manager's. If Justin Crawford was leading off the Phillies would still be playing. Nick Castellonos is the only outfielder that can hit. You can't win when 66% of your outfielder that can hit major league hitting. Leaving Crawford in the minors so that the Phillies have another year of control cost them the World Series. Thanks for the advice though.

I know bohm was an upset in the playoffs, and a little in the 2nd half, but he was an ALLSTAR , made some unbelievable defense plays at 3rd , was best in doubles for long time during season, even tho I believe Aiden miller will be better for 3rd base, bohm struggled in playoffs, but that happens, that’s when ur team supposed to pick u up… bohm is ok in my book

That Bohm hit that was called foul but was clearly a fair ball and potentially even scores a run - Thomson needs to come out on the field and get in the Umpire’s face on that one. The umpiring was bad all game - and he needed to stand up for the team and make it known - this combined with so many other things just speaks to how laissez-faire his attitude is and I don’t think it serves this team well at all.

Keep Thompson but hire a x's and o's guy as a bench coach, similar to Jimy Williams when the Phillies hired him as a bench coach to help Charlie Manuel, they loved the atmosphere Charlie created but needed a strategist...a true baseball guy....also Kevin Long is the best hitting coach in the game but unfortunately they are gonna fire him

No way you can run it back with swharber and turner. they suck! but no way you can move on from turner with that putrid contract. The window closed on this core. Harper is injured and will only get worse as time goes on considering his age. It's time to rebuild! A massive 500 million plus soto contract isn't gonna move the needle. this team is poorly constructed and old. Move on with the young guys in the system that will be coming up in the next couple yrs.

I believe we have what we need already, trade bohm for a real closer bring up miller. Trade marsh for a seasoned outfielder or for a reliever. Bring up Crawford to replace Rojas but keep him as a backup when needed. Jt needs to go this year or next. We need a younger solid catcher for some of theseyounger pitchers coming soon like painter. @@kevinray9943 I believe Manfred is stepping down as MLB commissioner so I wouldnt be suprised if Trevor Bauer came back to the MLB next year. If I were to guess he goes to The Reds however St Louis could for sure use him. Hopefully Pete Rose will also be voted into the Hall Of Fame.

Phillies are going to do what after a 95 wins season? I think the Phillies only need to change some bench coaches find which coach is not doing very well at his job no trading players are keeping their problem with certain coaches to themself⚾⚾⚾ Phillies got everything they need except those underperforming got to look in the mirror

😂 I've been telling Y'all this for 3 years now. The Phillies team will not win a World Series until they get some African American Stars on the team. What did Castellanos do??? He was hitting .300 post all-star and was really the only consistent hitter for the Phillies through that stretch + postseason.
