You don't just develop an attraction for a kid the moment it turns 18! They slept together when he turned 20. So, I think of this way: you for example have a daughter . She is 15. She's an aspiring musician. Let say she meets a man in his 40s or 50s who offers to help her with her music, becomes her mentor, her "mate". After a while, they develope a strong relationship, a friendship of sort. Then, one day, he doesn't know how, but out of nowhere (that is how Philip described the moment they started their affair) this man, a mentor, a father figure decides to sleep with your daughter. It's creepy. It's wrong and we all know it. It doesn't matter if the person is 18 or over. He didn't just suddenly develope an attraction to her, he was attracted to her all along. He was just waiting for the right moment.
