Philomena Cunk on the (Trump) Apocalypse/ Armageddon End of year wipe 2016, or in Charlies words "Shitmongous". Moments of Wonder. More here / rolotomasi136
"A mystic from Yorkshihre, living in a cave... ...which at the time was better than living in Yorkshire... ...just like it also is now" Philomena showing her true Lancashire heritage, never losing the opportunity to talk crap about Yorkshire whenever possible.
Sigh, some people just don't have a sense of humour. Maybe they should live in a cave with Benny Hill videos for a couple of years and when they come out they will understand how funny she really is!
However. Scientists in the future will be able to protect the future race of humanity from the physical challenges of burning of the earth and splitting of atoms by changing the molecular makeup of our environments and ourselves through new technologies and theories. All of which were inspired by the Belgian techno-anthem pump up the ham.
Man, I love Cunk and I love Cox. This is the best episode of this thing. I like it how she trolls those experts, and how some of them troll her back, and some just don't get it. Brian is definitely in the first camp.
Cox may get the joke, but he made a fool of himself anyway, by saying there was no possibility at all that someone or something could prevent the earth from being incinerated by the sun.
"...a claim which has recently being debunked by experts through a careful process OF LOOKING AROUND AND SEEING THE WORLD STILL HERE" she has many iconic quotes but this one is the funniest I'm literally cryinghashfdashfg
Being on the Titanic just after it hits an iceberg isn't so bad. Even an hour or two later it's still manageable. The band is playing some calming music, and there's plenty of nice food to eat. It's the ongoing trend that's gotten me nervous.
That Brian Cox kept a straight face throughout, is (also) a universal wonder. Consider how many takes of that interview had be done before they got it right 😂
He has been working with Robin Ince for forever, so it's hardly a stretch and there are lots of guests who are comics on Infinite Monkey Cage, so nothing out of the ordinary at all for him.
@@xlynx9 Ok, but she had a tight frame work most likely established by the writers to work from and like all good improv, it's actually well rehearsed segments sewn together to make the improv feel new. Real improv that impresses is actually rehearsed to death just open ended.Improv does not mean winging it.
Interesting to imagine that that Mother Shipton actually foresaw a collision of galaxies but to earn some dosh had to just pick a distant date, but cheekily chose 1881 as a visual clue with the ones meant to represent a picture frame and the eights spiralling clusters of stars..
In 2019 I actually stayed with some friends in Knaresborough. It's worth visiting. Totally weird place. Her cave actually petrifies objects you leave in there. Turns them to stone by sucking the nutrients out. It's pretty weird
@@seldom_bucket yep! That comment also indicates the commenter hasn't quite understood just how vast the universe is. Assuming that the calculations are correct, which you can debate if you like, there is actually so much space that nothing will collide. Which is astounding to me, but just goes to show how insanely big space is. Another way of visualising how ridiculously massive space is, is that you could fit all the planets of our solar system next to each other between the earth and the moon. Insane!
As a IWW worker and Anti Fascist Action worker, I love this channel and Ms. Conk, thank you for reminding the world hasn't ended yet. Thànk you, Timothy "The Fresh Prince of Darkness" Ficker Post. Script. I would take you to prom (if time machines existed)Miss. Conk
I remember watching his series at bedtime every night like 15 years ago. Still looks the exact same. Guy must have some kind of secret youth serum. Maybe it's the haircut.
what's so hard to understand. It's a billionaire calling out other billionaires, and he coined the phrase "drain the swamp". And as far as "special" goes, pretty much EVERYONE involved in that level of politics is "special". The only difference is that Trump is calling the whole system rigged, admits he is abusing it , and is campaigning against it. That, is why people vote for him. The worker class is disenfranchised, and many are placing their hopes on "fighting fire with fire". People think this is a right vs left fight , when technically the right is fighting against the DONORS that are supporting the left. They'd be looking at guys like George Soros, or Klaus Schwab, heavily criticizing the WHO and the WEF. (Let's not forget Sam Bankman-Fried, and his gigantic FTX crypto scam, using a private company based in Ukraine to launder tax payer's money meant for Ukraine support directly back into democrat coffers to fund their own campaigns) In comparison , all democrats have is trump derangement. None of their policies make sense. I'm sure you've all noticed the surfacing brand new ELON derangement as well. Or the PUTIN derangement. You can be sure as hell when media is blasting things on repeat, it's to distract us from major power changes and money balances.
@@SteambieGrimbley9110 But "HOW" did he do this. You have to explain these things instead of throwing out random platitudes. HOW has he paved the way for more corruption? Make your statements please.
@@MasterYoda389hi comment from 10 months ago. Wow this didn't age well did it? , I'm from the future - Trump has four indictments, he's paid 5 million to a woman he raped, today as of writing he lost his real estate company due to the fraud he committed. Apart from that he's looking squeaky clean 😂😂
What song is Cox talking about at 4:28, when he says it's "one of the most misleading and scientifically inaccurate pop songs that's ever been written"?
