And all the good aspects of Eastern philosophy come from Buddhism, which was started by an incarnation of Narayana. Or it can be traced to Sanskrit, Indo Europeans etc.
@@WardayYT Imagine thinking that bathing in dirty water is on the same level of immorality as brutally burning a dog alive while your neighbors clap and cheer as though it's a high virtue. Same with basically torturing and killing endangered animals for fun and then they create propaganda to make it seem like it's white people that are doing and everyone hates Europeans and white Americans for things that Chinese people are doing.
@@WardayYT Not even if you're a christian you would consider him a philosopher. Devine revelation never was an epistemologicaly respected way of achieving knowledge. Furthermore Jesus wasn't described as a thorough thinker, he just made up his ideals and acted according to them for his life. Great faith alone doesn't make you a philosopher. Philosophy is about questioning the unknown while theology is about believing in the known (existence of god). One could say Jesus is the complete OPPOSITE of a philosopher - so are all prophets.
@@droggellord While Jesus is predominantly recognized as a religious figure central to Christianity, his teachings encompass profound philosophical aspects. Through parables and moral lessons, he explored fundamental questions about life, morality, and human existence. The ethical principles he emphasized, such as compassion, love, forgiveness, and the Golden Rule (treating others as one would like to be treated), transcend religious boundaries and resonate with philosophical themes. Scholars and theologians have engaged in extensive philosophical interpretations of his teachings, highlighting the enduring influence of his profound insights on ethics and morality. In this sense, Jesus' impact extends beyond religious confines into the realm of philosophical thought.
The depth of the philosophy in his teachings you credit are irrelevant and ordinary on a topic-related scale. By your measurement every great mind in human history could be in this video, Goethe, Einstein, Dostoyevsky, Homer etc. Due to your apparent meager and superficial interest in philosophy it's no surprise that you wouldn't make a difference between a great prophet, physicist or poet and an actual profound philosopher. Good thing there are people which have no trouble in understanding these things thanks to their superior expertise and competence. Find a single Wikipedia page where Jesus is titled a philosopher (Jesus is also the person with the most different translations on Wikipedia) or a single philosophy centered page where he is mentioned as one. I'll wait. Though while Jesus didn't contribute anything to philosophy himself, as you rightfully already described: one can't deny that he influenced almost every single western thinker that lived after Christianity became the continental standart. That is an almost unparalleled influence to the history of ideas which makes him suitable to being featured in a video like this, but not because he is a philosopher.@@WardayYT
Follow your dreams, my mate, just something for you to consider. Philosophy University same like any other university doesn't teach you how to think, they just teach you high-level facts. My friend is studying it and most of the time is spend by learning obscure facts about philosophers and having to memorize what they said without your personal input. If you just want to know about philosophy, then college is for you, if you want to become a good philosopher going to a place where you have to obey every rule and fit into a category is probably the last thing you should do.
@@WardayYT Read "The Unique and Its Property" by Max Stirner, lmao. Just a goof from my side, shame he wasn't included, but it's also for the better for the doesn't quite fit into the frame of an average philosopher, I guess.
Where is Zoroasther? He is the earliest known philosopher to us and from bronze age!( Look at Oxford dictionary of philosophers) He was the first to treat the problem of evil in philosophical terms and also came to believe in a single god, contributing monotheism to humanity for the first time.
@@LeSpaghet religion itself is a philosophy. But other than that, Zoroasther is the first philosopher of the world in Oxford's dictionary of the Philosophy
@@WardayYT the song last 4 minutes. Before here in RU-vid was a vídeo about western civilization of 4 minutes and was taking down. I don't that was because copyright tho
True. They don’t really get credited enough with their ideas, although I think all philosophical viewpoints aren’t really explored too much anymore. Only those who care to speculate about the universe can understand it in the truest sense of the word.
@@WardayYT No hate but, why do you Not like them or did you think it didnt fit into the Rest or something Else? Asking questions cause we are already talking about Philosophy
I'm gonna say this with complete arrogance but, I will do my absolute best to leave something of an impact on Philosophy. I don't wanna just be a phD student whose thesis is read by like 5 people in my lifetime. 🫡 I'll let you know how that goal works out in like 2-3 decades
