The pacing of this Live was so weird It felt like they wanted to trim down on filler yet they felt compelled to add it anyways Commit to either direction doing both results in a minecart trip to Lego and sending tiny Vu mobs while talking with r2d2 Or someone randomly exclaiming they want the sugarcane to grow quicker without any context or reason
@@risxraWe develop the software and plugins that are tools which help the animators (or in Mojang's case, game devs) do their job more easily and efficiently.
It's funny that they said "Oh, the nostalgia of finding your first spawner". No, mate. It was fear, pure fear for fricking cave spiders that didn't want to leave me alone. I don't want to see another of those mf never again 😂 Thanks Phil!
I love the live action minecraft weird bits they're just so weird and insane. it's so funny and endearing imo especially combined with the weird acting lol.
If it is enchantable I'm only going to use it to farm xp frmo mobs early game before ender man farm, otherwise I wuill mnever bring him down caves or explore@@amos.rand_vfx
They have the opportunity to add the Copper Golem and Iceologer in this trial chambers. The spawner could have a chance of an Iceologer alongside the husk as some sort of leader among them or maybe have 2, while the Copper Golem could be a decorational block until you beat those challenges and get like a battery to power up the Copper Golem so you could bring it home like how an Allay works.
The mob vote is definitely the most anticipated and also hated part of Minecraft live… it will always disappoint at least 2/3 of the playerbase. The best we can do is hope, since Mojang hasn’t listened to player feedback. There’s still a chance we’ll get a lost mob vote in the future though, so all is not lost!
There is a real possibility of the copper golem coming back (the trial chamber is not only made of copper, but appears to have elements of traps and mobs interacting with the environment (i am coping so hard))
@@carp2008no. not 2/3, because if it was 2/3, the number of people voting for each mob would be evenly split. there were way more votes for the armadillo than there were for the penguin.
Bummer the penguin didn’t win, but the armadillo was my second choice so yay. Can’t wait to explore the new Trial Chamber, it’s like a training course in a way.
Philza represents literally every single person watching mc live. Laughing and making fun of everything until they say “new update” then he’s locked in.
I appreciate Philza’s positivity a lot, I feel like so many people are being unnecessarily hateful and unappreciative with Minecraft’s new developments
Even though they’re not necessarily meant for combat it would still be cool if they added cat armor, just so if you wanted to take one on an adventure with you it also wouldn’t die as easily if some kind of accident happened
Thank you for being a positive view on this. Its hard to feel excited about something when everyone in the community around you is bashing on the game you put so much love and passion into. It's good to have someone else who's just as excited as me.
I mean when the Live itself is quite literally worst than the majority of Pokémon Presents for example there's something seriously wrong this year. Minecraft is still a goated game, just that something didn't connect well this year at Mojang's studios.
@@goopich they are somewhat right though. at least in terms on their marketing and advertising, they could really improve on how they conduct it. also they said nothing bad about you, but you chose to take it personally. you have a choice to read something or not, if you want to stay positive, stop reading the negatives edit; also, don't dismiss any constructive criticism, because if we never point out that someone is doing something wrong, the world would be in a VERY different place.
Philza, thank you. I stumbled apon you watching Technoblade. I started to follow and watch you. My home went from a single box of one wood and floor type. To actually expanding. I am playing a realm with a friend. And actually getting better at minecraft having watched you. I am also implementing what I am learning into the game. Just no Redstone for me. 100% horrible at those type of builds.
I was waiting on a video with Phil's reaction to this! I wasn't expecting it to be out this quick, but it's the perfect video for me to watch while eating dinner. ...If I don't choke on my food from laughing ^^;; I know what's in store, and Phil's reaction might be the death of me, we'll see. 💀
This update is actually sick. It reminds me of modded Minecraft from like feed the beast and stuff like that where you can have automatic crafting, M.E systems, Tinkers Construct. It's so cool looking, this might actually get me to play Minecraft again. :D
Ph1lza's chat being happy is so wholesome in contrast to the ungrateful mfs in the Minecraft Live chat trying and failing to boycott the mob vote. Love to see people being positive on new updates instead of focusing on the things they didn't add.
I support Mojang most of the time, but not with the mob vote. I was happy when they took extra time to work on the Cave Update. I wasn’t upset when we didn’t get the birch forest or fireflies. People complaining about that are just being ungrateful. But the mob vote isn’t that. People have made clear for a long time that they don’t like the mob vote, but Mojang doesn’t care. It actively divides and disappoints the player base. There’s no real excuse for keeping it around. Unfortunately for the positivity-tyrants out there, protesting is a valid and necessary way to get one’s point across to the higher ups. Unionizing and boycotting isn’t bad, it’s good. It’s free speech and gives people a voice. I’d be willing to bet that they’ll add the penguin and crab a lot sooner now, because of the protests. They might have even added in that line about the penguin not being gone forever, specifically because of the protests. Don’t you think?
@@calvinjohnson6242 I think it's nice that we're getting a say in what's added in the mob vote. If they abolish it, then we will have no say anymore and it will be like the pre 1.13 days where they would add whatever they wanted. There's also the argument that they should add all 3, which is complete bogus. People act like they know what's going on behind Mojang's doors, when they don't.
@@artemis_furrson Let me ask you this. Are your favorite features the mobs voted in the mob vote? Or is it literally everything else? I’m sorry, I prefer the Warden, Axolotl, and Camel over the Allay and Sniffer. I think most people would agree. So I don’t really care if we get a say. Mojang is doing just fine without us. Either we don’t get what we want, and we’re disappointed we lost, or we get what we want, and are disappointed we didn’t vote for something else. Because honestly? Mojang is bad at implementing mob vote winners. Even when we do pick something cool, like the Sniffer and Allay, they turn out lackluster. This is partially because the mobs get overhyped, but also because these mobs are underdeveloped and don’t fit in with the rest of the update. For example, why do the Sniffers plants not do anything? It’s so much work for something with zero functionality. I’d argue, after all this time, that the best mob we ever voted in was the god damn glowsquid. It actually fit in with the cave update, and it’s function wasn’t overhyped. They even overdelivered on the premise by adding the glowing ink. The major problem within the vote is that it never comes across as the addition of a mob, and instead the loss of two mobs. My first thought when I saw each mob was “Oh, so this means there’s only a third of a chance of them ever adding a penguin. That sucks.” And you can argue that’s just a shitty response, and that we should be grateful, but I’m sorry. You’re just wrong. If you do your best to get people excited about something, and then take it away, that is objectively a loss. You lose that thing you were excited about. I’d rather potential mobs stay behind mojangs doors until they can create fully developed, excellent additions to the game that we will get no matter what. I think the biome votes were at least a far better choice, because it presented a set of features that would work in tandem, with vague descriptions that wouldn’t overhype the mobs. They should go back to that.
I'm assuming the Copper Bulbs will require a frog lamp and maybe 8 copper ingots, just a guess. Also, they're making it easier to make more unique puzzle games with the Crafter! It's the little things, 9/10!! (9, because the Armadillo won).
OK, making Jeb look like the new L'Oreal model might be the best thing to happen this year. The trial spawners might also be a good way to make diamonds renewable without lowering their rarity too much, since the spawners appear to be time gated. Auto-crafting could be the biggest surprise though. Then again, they've got Gnembon on their team.

If someone told Grian from hermitcraft season 6 that there would be auto craft like 6 years from then... He. Would. Lose. It. He had to craft soooo much concrete.
OH MY GOD imagine if we put a sculk sensor and when a player step around the area it autocrafts a tnt or a end crystal and explodes.OR it crafts blowstone and then put on a respawn enchor and it explodes(I LOVE THIS UPDATE)
the glow squid is more useful though. we couldn't make signs glow before the were added. penguins, however, do something that already exists in the game. we literally have dolphins
@@duckified. I don't know why, but my comment was deleted so I'm gonna rewrite what I said. As someone who voted for Penguin, I thought they could speed up traveling with ice bridges in the Nether as it requires you to use a boat. Plus, it would be funny to see how fast the travel can get! Probably would require multiple Penguins in prison though. I'm not upset that Penguin lost though, my siblings wanted Armadillo so I'm happy for them. Mobs that lost can come back in the future so fingers crossed!!!
i love how Jeb is just casually 9 feet tall (3 meters for you freedom-haters) and then, at Mach 10, builds a nether portal and decorates it like a house, then lights it like 24 feet away (again, 8 meters for freedom-haters) also the redstone that made jeb change tracks shouldnt work lol
You made this infinitely funnier Phil, but I still feel dead inside today. You're reaction and commentary about this made me smile, the actual thing did not.
i was a bit underwhelmed by the event itself, probably the update will be nice, the things they already revealed are very good, but if they don't give us the name, the theme, and 90% of what they want to put in, why do the minecraft live? I think that this "safe" route really damages the event (especially making it less than 1 hour long)
