Gives me the chills. They opened with this at Wolf Mountain Utah a while back in the 90s when I was still a teenager .There were two Rainbows in the sky as we were walking in I was already on Fungus and security took the rest of my bag and I kept walking in. and sneaked a lot closer than my ticket allowed, I was pro at getting close.I had a great time and danced like hell.
heheh yea great jam here, wow didnt know there will still people new to phish, glad you made it onto the train! i always love when the best jam bands break out reggae type tunes such as this...umphreys and bisco do this sorta thing often too
i was at this show, and when they played this song the floors were moving along with the beat, I remember people jamming soooo hard up on the balcony that it just brought the goosebumps standing still amongst it all for just one minute. awesome! Indio was killer too!
The first time I heard this song was on the radio and it was the origional Stevie version. I shook a leg then, and then shook it again when I found that Phish did a version of their own as well. Very, very cool.!!
Thanks for giving funk a new angle, and representing it so well. I (mother-flippin-expletive) LOVE it. (extremely) Well done. Peace, love & kindness. Come back from hiatus into a million open arms :D Kindly,
I don't get why people gotta snub jam bands. String Cheese Incident, Phish, the Grateful Dead... the members of these bands are, technically at least, some of the VERY best musicians to make it big.
@SativaBeliver dude his favorite band is green day get it right... and people that actually hate phish are a little slow in the head anyway. you would have to be to not appreciate the talent and improv jams. I used to like the 2 minute country songs on the radio too unfortunately.. then i hit puberty
