"Run Like An Antelope" from Phish's 6/12/2019 show at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, MO. Download the entire show now or stream via LivePhish+ at livephi.sh/ph190612
At least my Bruins took your Blues to seven games for you to get that great Stanley Cup. Worked hard both teams. Doesn't happen always. Phish was the dessert for you from your words.
Cool how the video doesn't fade out when they leave the stage, but rather continues so you can hear the crowd chanting "Let's go Blues!". A really special night in St. Louis.
Unforgettable night....St. Louis Blues winning the Stanley Cup at set break as you hear them score towards the end to make it 3-0....Phish teases Gloria ( #playgloria) and flashes blue and yellow at the end, to then open the 2nd set with Gloria to celebrate the victory. Blues went from dead last in January to starting a Stanley Cup run bringing in goalie Binnington with his first win against Trey’s beloved Flyers and now he’s celebrating with us. Like I said a perfect night if you’re a Phish and Blues fan!!
Absolutely unforgettable! I bought tickets for my dad's 50th back in March and I chose night 2 at random. He lives in Atlanta, so we rarely get to see each other. We've been following the Blues extensively this entire time and could have NEVER guessed that his trip up here, the night of this amazing concert, would fall perfectly on Stanley Cup night! It was surreal, like a dream. To leave our seats to watch the Blues take the cup between sets and feel the energy with the crowd of Phish/Blues phans out in the hall was something I'll never forget as long as I live. So grateful. Not to mention the energy during this performance. I'm so happy that it's immortalized here on youtube :)
Huge NY Rangers fan here.....I've never rooted as hard for a team to win as I did for St. Louis against the damn Bruins. Well done. And on top of a SC....a Phish show to cap it off. I was hoping Trey would say "Been u to have a Stanley Cup....man ?" Woulda been too good haha !!!
Huh? Were you on the Mike Gordon "you play too many notes, Trey" bandwagon in the 90's? Cuz most of us were not. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-go9_2783cp8.html
These guys since the early 90s have never failed in getting my foot tappin and head bobbin! Love it, Slip into the high gear of your soul, you got to run like an Antelope out of control. Got the t-shirt, Heads compliment, dug the jam for decades now.
I remember after Jerry died I started touring with Phish. I love how the jam in the beginning here kind of sounds like the Franklin's Tower Jam a bit. Though I must sadly say that this version sounds very tired... I understand though. We are all getting older 😭
Ezekiel 16:6 "And I do pass over by thee, And I see thee trodden down in thy blood, And I say to thee in thy blood, Live, And I say to thee in thy blood, Live." Kicking around in your blood. That's like an Antelope, isn't it? Sure. You gotta run like an Antelope. Out of control.
One of my saddest memories was Finally convincing my father to attend phish with me, he literally didn’t get it at all. 100% was in his phone / non invested and made several side comments. Not the place to vent but this reminds me how insane I still think that is. Plus he’s a music PhD guy. So I don’t get it.
Lmao, at least he went!!! Wow, my Father wouldn't even have entertained the notion let alone actually give in. All good, I never would have expected him too. R.I.P Pops...🙏
Not a top-tier Antelope. It's OK, but can think of dozens which are better. It's always fun to be there when played, but check out Detroit 97, Vegas 03, SF 16 and any 1994 version
@@jesuselizabeth16 They worked for every dollar! God knows they got plenty of mine over the years. Big Cypress was the absolute highpoint of my life!!!

HA ...I AM # 420 LIKES !!!! WHO WAS IN VERMONT WHEN THESE GUYS CAME TO THE NORTHEAST KINGDOM???? AUGUST 14TH 15TH AND 16TH 2004.IN COVENTRY VT???????????????
I wish my hockey team ( Sabres) could win the Cup on the same night I'm seeing Phish. Maybe in another lifetime because the Sabres SUCK. CONGRATS ST. LOUIS.
When one discovers this band of course they are going to say every show is epic, life changing, face melting, etc. However, this band is a mere shell of what they used to be. Ernest is not the same and that 'Antelope' was painful to listen to.
I hate to agree with you but I'm afraid I have to..on this Antelope anyways..Trey butchered the beginning..but to say they're a shell of their former self might be taking it a bit too far..I've heard some really good playing by all 4 of them..maybe just not a consistently as before??
Yeah I'm missing the appeal of this Antelope as well. All good tho, I definitely don't mind others thinking it was the shit. All things considered if I was from Missouri and in attendance this night I probably would have thought otherwise lol.
This version is weak. Mike turn that fu$King bass up. Joh needs to speed up and go harder on them drums, and I'd like to hear Trey hold each chord a split second longer. Pagie on the keys sounds great. I love this song in general, I would just like say how I feel, that it be kooler if this jam was harder
Whats so special about this? I don't mean to be rude, I really don't.. I just don't see what is so special and why they're so big. I mean these dudes have a huge following from what I understand.
What's special is how much improvisation there is. Every performance is unique and in the moment. The lights are improvised too, and this video really shows that off. When I started listening to them, I didn't get it. I had to listen to them a lot to start to get it. So it's partly how you listen to it -- sit back and just absorb it without expectations and be patient. That's the best way I can describe it.
What's particularly special about this is at about 4:30 the crowd learned that the Blues were going to win the Stanley Cup. That's the roar you hear. Plus Trey is a huge hockey fan, so he probably thought it was pretty cool to be in St Louis when it happened.
Dope didn't hurt his jams....just sayin.. Joking, got box seats for SPAC 6/2/19- Favorite band since mid 90's! Clifford Ball & Big Cypress were life-changing🐟🐟🐟🐟
