Lol, I see comments like this all the time. Is this meant to be taken seriously or is it a running joke? I'm asking for real because I honestly can relate smh. At a moe. show many years back I swear it felt like Derhak was actually staring at me lol. Then at DSO Mattson and me hit eye contact more than a couple times that particular night lmao.✌
The wedge is about evolution from organisms living in deep sea trenches to our present selves they also touch on Aliens helping us develop technology and basically creating our society it all started when they helped the Egyptians build the pyramids or maybe that's just what I take from it
its funny cos during antelope they were jamming so hard and i was tripping so hard that i thought they were still playing wedge and then remembered what was going on
This is my first time listening to this band and there not bad but I don't understand what the song is about. There doesn't have to be a meaning since it sounds chill and relaxing
The first song is about Jungian psychology or something. Antelope was written when Trey was in elementary school I believe so God only knows what's going on there. Ultimately they represent different aspects of the same thing which is just how the dudes in the band perceive reality. It genuinely is that shallow, but so are all lyrics. The real goodness is in the interplay between sounds which is why you can't really go back to listening to music the same way after hearing a band like Phish (or the Dead or Miles Davis's bands. Hendrix. Primus. Any good orchestra or prog band can do it too, but whether or not that's better than improvisation depends on what you're trying to accomplish with each piece so it gets real subjective there. In fact this struggle is central to the career of this kind of musician) Also when I say hearing i mean actively listening obviously, which does require effort on the part of the listener No one asked for that second part but there you have it half decade old comment lol
