Eagle Twenty1...I’m with you on that one my man. It used to be so easy back then. Nowadays I have to pay to get a good handy...the only problem is I’ve been broke for years. On the bright side, my right forearm is massive.
I'm jealous as hell... I was only 7 when this aired lol. I'm blessed though, I've been able to see Phish a whole bunch since they got back together in '09 ❤️
I remember that nobody knew what they would play since they were promoting Slip, Stitch, and Pass. And they busted out a song nobody had heard before on Conan. Just their best late night showing...pure bliss!
This song, which has to be close to, if not my favorite Phish tune, presents even new meaning to me now. Just moved from a townhouse, aged around 15 years to a farmhouse, that’s stood since 1860. Bless my young family of six, and may my brother, who passed in ‘13, rest in sweet golden slumber. Tears of so many emotions as I write this. Love & thank you big bro with everything I got
@@Sharpshooter649I mean every sone has these 4 chords. C/g/am/f. 0:48 Like a prayer, my name is jonas, damnit, when I come around...it's the most used chord progression in popular music. Some comedy band.had a montage of hundreds of popular songs using it.
I remember geeking out so hard whenever they were on TV back then... Just amazing to be a part of something so special when it was so rare anyone had ever heard of them 😅
Never forget tuning in to this to hear what they would play and they debut a song we had never heard before. It was so cool and it’s such a fantastic version. They could do no wrong in the late 90s
They were promoting their SSP live album on Conan, and this was the first time Farmhouse was played live. The Farmhouse album-which I think you mean-wasn’t made and released for another few years after this Conan performance of the song. The funny thing is that none of us who followed the band knew what this song was when they played it on Conan-the band did it as a complete curveball.
@@supadupaswag737 Yes, thank you! I had this on an audio tape and had it transferred to mp3 (including the tease into Mike's). Never found another recording until this clip.
One night the bartender came into the kitchen and was aghast. "The bassist! Phish! He's here!" Super chill dude. Sent his table a round on the house. He came up to the pass, and all I could say was "Thank you."
@@joebarr725you didn’t see him in his prime if you really believe that. Phish still put on a good show but they’re nowhere near as good as they used to be.
@@LudiCrust. You Fookin' clown! Plenty of us have seen them for decades now. Joe Barr's statement stands. You are just a wannabe captain of the comments.
Are you new to music in general, ever played an instrument... understand anything??? Oh, I see you make shitty ambient music and you have the nerve to comment on an actual band. 🤣
Lol i've been to 30+ shows and I can assure you no one leaves in disgust...stop it. Is it one of the many first set throw away piss break songs? Sure. But we aren't THAT jaded.
2024 los jóvenes escuchando a peso pluma y bad bunny! Una verdadera desgracia de la humanidad, soy de México y me gusta mucho phish, el rock es cultura. 😎👍
Guess I'm gonna have to start going to Phish shows like every other Deadhead when Dead & Company splits after this summer tour. Gonna be a very emotional and bittersweet final show in San Fran.
@@littlereviews Dead & Co Summer Tour is gonna fuck my wallet dry, but if I hear of shows happening in Chicago around August of so then I'll check it out. Been trying to dip my toe in this band and this song and performance in particular is what I wanna see. No doubt Phish is a super tight band and I'm sure they murder every song like this in concert.
@@littlereviewswent to all 3 shows in Chicago on this year's fall tour, these guys were fucking outrageously amazing, was tripping balls for the 3rd and final show, can't wait for them to come back so I can see them again.
