Looks like a super fun gig for a drone pilot .. I haven't seen a drone at a concert yet. I hope the blades have coverings.. it would still hurt getting smacked in the face with a drone
Well you have lots of homework to do. Trey is dynamic and does so much work. My favorite collab he did was with Goose in Fall 2022. Go check Trey and goose radio city.
That is an epic first show!!! I remember my first. I was out of breath ans my mouth was to the floor when the light came back on! Lol. Hope you enjoyed it!
I know it might be hard to believe considering my profile pic is Animals, but I’ve never really listened to Phish. These live recordings from The Sphere performances are incredible and the music is top notch. I have a lot of listening to do.
My favorite band seeing live all over the country since '94, check out old Halloweens like 96 in Atlanta or big cypress nye 2000, 98 in Murfreesboro TN, 9/1999 Pyramid Memphis Treys bday show, deer creek Noblesville IN July 99. July 3 and 4th Lakewood Atl and May 94 Five pts music hall Birmingham AL, that was my 1st show lol
I just wanted to let you know that you are the coolest person on the internet. Thank you for being so amazing with your unoriginal and non positive comments. We are blessed to bask in your glory.
@@judsonwrightCalm down cowboy. It was just a joke. I love this band. Been seeing them regularly since ‘91. I feel like I’ve earned the right to give them a bit of shit if I want.
My word this function went beyond what I could of have ever Imagined. Best show I've seen in I can't remember. Showed LV what was diametric and what isn't. PHISH 2024 :) Pulled this off like no other. STUNNNING
Wow! Incredible drone work. Damn I wish I could have been there 😢. Toured with them from 96 to 2004. The absolute best time of my life! Got Mansfield and Mohegan to look forward to! You never cease to amaze me Phish! Much love ❤️
I saw this band in I think the late 90's at a club in Santa Ana, CA. Only because I was there to see another band. I didn't get it, and I never followed them. My taste in music has changed over the years and now I love Phish. Funny how that works.
I remember when Jerry Garcia died, and how a local newspaper referred to Phish as the presumed “torchbearers” for continuing the legacy of “jam bands/rock”. Their only album that I knew of at that time was A Live One, and the only song that I distinctly remember from it was Bouncing Around The Room, helped in no small part to its then being popular on local alternative radio. I was almost exclusively into metal, punk, and rap at that time, so never paid much attention to the likes of Phish. To top it off, my two classmates who were diehard fans were both abject druggies, a lifestyle choice that I eschewed (one of those friends is clean now, though a renowned cinematographer and now a Buddhist, based out of LA; the other is a priest for a Franciscan community based out of NYC). Just hearing this live, I wish that I’d gone to one of their MANY shows that they played when I was in Pittsburgh, as this is absolutely phenomenal!!!!! Funny thought: I’ve heard of Trey Anastasio being referred to as “the tyrant of the band”, though I see his purported “tyranny” as being the salvation of the band, as it both kept him alive, but also the others that were dealing with whatever degree of addiction they were, allowing them to continue on, playing mammothly long sets, and touring as regularly as they do.
Same! My buddy and i were like dude thats a drone blazin around there why arent they showing that thing's footage on the live stream?! Cool to see this now.
This would have reqired adding a video transmitter to the drone + extra battery. These drones have to be super small and lightweight incase it's to crash into the audance. Was at the show last night and the drone looked like you could pick it up with 2 fingers if needed due to being so low weight.
@@gonolith Can't speak for the pilot but to score a gig like this he/she was surely compliant with US law, in that case I would imagine drone is sub 250g which is the legal requirements for flying over people in the states. It's essentially impossible to carry a wireless video transmitter for a live feed and keep under that weight.
@@jayhergen the drone already has a small video transmitter onboard for the pilot to see You can get the video from it to a hdmi for a screen, and it's done a fair amount to screens behind However it's not the best quality as it is very small and has a fisheye effect I do wonder what putting the fisheye image onto a curved screen would do, maybe it would correct it lol
the lighting on the sphere is unbelievable and i feel like the video doesn't even compare close to irl watching that, i would be tripping sober with that shit haha, good video still though love the drone shots!
Trey was much better in the 90's, check out 11-01-91 gothic theatre (landlady especially). Roxy '93. Orlando 11-14-95. Tinley Park 08-14-93. 1997 was a great year also. Treys playing declined after he got arrested.
I got tosee 40+ shows in fall 95....and Many more after. Although I wish i was there in Vegas right now , im reminded of why i wore sunglasses during most shows, not because i wantrd dimmer lighting, but because my eyes were closed the WHOLE TIME!! Its ALWAYS been about being in the "$ph€®€"
Exactly what I was thinking. Dancing. Preferably in a space that isn't crowded (entry ways, aisles, the walkway that separates the lawn from reserved seating or the upper level from the lower level). Eyes closed 70% of the time. The Sphere seems cool. Would love to be there. But I'm more of an "earballs" than an eyeballs kind of guy..
@@sethstine4698 .I took a plastic chain from the Aladdin that was hanging across the entrance for reserved seats for disabled people, there was nobody using the section so put the chain around my neck and had a perfect 10x10 dance floor with perfect sound and view... next thing I know, frickin Claypool is on stage, there's all these Elvis 's on stage and a bunch of kicking cowgirls!..I wore that chain to a lot more shows....I still have it actually!
