Best jam of the weekend IMO, graphics were so perfect for that song, the bass was so heavy, it felt like they were burning the MF Sphere down to the ground🔥
There are some big time versions when it first came out. 7-4-14, 7-8-14, and 8-11-15 are among my favorites. I’ve enjoyed the renaissance in the past year, especially the version at MSG over the summer, 7-29 I think it was.
...are you suggesting that there is video of those songs that can be watched without having to purchase the whole video stream which expires after 48 hours of first viewing?
I wasn’t there, unfortunately. I cant help but wonder if watching it on video seriously pales in comparison to being there. I think it looks like an awesome show - but I’m a fan. I’d go to Vegas to see them at this venue. (Good job guys! Well done.)
That's how they got to this level. Still blows my mind that they built this dynasty almost completely without any help at all from mainstream media. Show me another band that has done that
I quit Phish after Big Cypress... I miss the prog songs and didn't like where the band was headed. Can't hate this tho. It's made to be jammed out... and jam out they did. Well played sirs. Well played indeed. 👏 👏 👏
Remember when we used to pack inside little theatres and rock so hard we hoped the old building wouldn't collapse on itself? The only visuals we had was the stage and ourselves. Ahh those were the days.
Nothing more cringeworthy than limp dicks who use the word “cringe” as an adjective, while trying to denigrate a group of guys who have accomplished more and brought more joy to others than you ever will.
they seem to have went with a old school approach to visuals. Dissapointing the technology of the sphere wasnt highlighted in over the top fashion. It appear's they wanted us to focus on the band and not the cool new venue.
Agree - sort of dumb screen saver shit that any stoner could have come up with. I think the Live Phish videos are too much about the Sphere, and no good looks at the band. The stage lighting is terrible. Looks like a freaking boxing ring. Compare to the U2 videos which make much better use of the venue. Should have given Chris K the night off, and hire that U2 crew to produce.
16K resolution screens and they show this. I was so disappointed with a lot of the show. Most of it didnt fit the music . Some parts worked well. Phish i expected better with some originality not copy and paste put any band here.
This is precisely why I don't like Jam bands. Whatever the song is doesn't matter in the least, it all about the jam afterwards. Far to much senseless noodling. If only they could actually write good meaningful songs but I've never heard that. If that's what you like all the power to you. To me it's boring and the same old shit over and over. Nothing new and really nothing to really say in all of it. What happened to Freedom rock? When music has meaning its far more profound then any of this.
The effects were crap. Its just a silhouette of them playing the entire time...and it distorted. What a waste of the 1hr venue. Utilize what you have. I was underwhelemed by the sphere "pictures" and effects they chose to use.
You were not in the right state of mind 😉😂 I enjoyed it. I actually had my eyes closed during this song and what I saw was cooler than any visuals I've ever seen at any show. The acoustics in the sphere and the enchanting sounds Phish produced gave me the most potential synethetasia I've ever had in my life. I was seeing rainbow waterfalls and transformer like 3D visuals choreographed to magical noises these gentleman coaxed from their instruments. I was cocooned in a state of pure bliss and flow state unlike I've ever experienced before
Stuff is all boring. Go watch early 1990s phish. He shreds. Most of this stuff sounds like you should be listening to this at home while you do a painting or something
I want to like these guys but… 1. The lyrics suck 2. The delivery is camp 3. The parts are disjointed 4. It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing, and they ain’t got it 5. The drummer wears grandmas old dress.
venue isnt all that, and it sounds bad. phish regular touring light rig is better some of the shit theyve pulled off at the garden makes this look stupid
I kinda agree.. The Sphere is almost distracting and not in a good way.. It makes the stage looks so small.. the visuals everywhere is a bit overbearing and oppressive. The Sphere seems to just be a novelty venue.. cool to say you went there but I’d take a Red Rocks show over this any day.
