Lyrics!! For a chemical imbalance, you sure know how to ride a train Your revolution is a deathbed, and the music is your maid When someone comes a knocking with a needle on a tray Only your lonesome lies beside you For you told me not to stay You are somebody's baby Some mother held you near No it's not important, they're just pretty words, my dear There is no distraction that can make me disappear No there's nothing that won't remind you I will always be right here And you spit the blood back, spit the blood back Baby, I'm amazed that you're alright Oh, so long prison boy, I won't be home with you tonight We're both very sick, our muscles all worn down It's as if we are one-hundred-no, I won't still be around Because I've fallen, yes I've fallen right into the love I found Long before I reach one-hundred I'll have fallen to the ground And for generations Their romances make us more It's much less than than ever was before, the Chelsea and the floor Make us stand before the masses like two speakers for the poor When there was no revolution Nothing we were fighting for And you spit the blood back, spit the blood back Baby, I'm amazed that you're alright Oh, so long prison boy, I won't be home I won't be home I won't be home with you tonight And you can call the service bell When we stay at the Chelsea hotel And I'll stay out of my own head Oh, so long prison boy, I won't be home I won't be home I won't be home with you tonight
This is sooo great. Thank god she NOW KNOWS how to sing (NOW -(fastforward to 2019) in such a way that the LYRICS are totally understood on first listen ! (don't need to google the lyrics for HOURS like we have to do with SO MANY young people these days)-including THIS demo. I can't understand the lyrics in this.....But on the version on stranger in the alps, I absolutely CAN understand the lyrics.
I flew to Texas to see her last year, and two fans threw cowboy hats on stage. She had the crowd vote for the pink or black one lol. They chose pink, and after she put it on she so perfectly said, “well, yee-fucking-haw.” 😆🤠 It was so great.
Thank God she stopped singing in this weird way that makes it hard to understand the lyrics. The lyrics in this are AMAZING and exemplary. But, she was young, and had not found her voice......Yet. She now sings like she talks. Can you imagine writing a song this good, yet, being too young to know how to properly sing it? So great.
I completely understand what you mean, but I personally LOVE her singing style here, and even prefer it to the SITA version we all know and love. But, I am definitely weird lol (like you said the singing is) and enjoy more messy, raw vocals. I am not a musician by any means, but can tell how much she has grown vocally since this. Doesn’t change how much I absolutely love it! 🥰
