@@cz9790 wait real question? She’s opening for Taylor Swift. There is definitely a set of fan overlap with Taylor and Phoebe, but Phoebe’s music has kind of a downbeat, mellow or sad-girl vibe that some of Taylor’s more energetic pop-fans might not be into. I think the folklore/evermore girlys probably like Phoebe and boygenius stuff even if they haven’t been very exposed to them yet, but the whole stadium is still filling in. I think big arenas are probably always hard for openers, like it’s still daylight, seats aren’t full, people arrive late and skip openers on purpose or use the time to get food, merch, drinks, there’s even more unsold tickets still in the hands of scalpers and resellers still. There also might be people who are excited to get to see Phoebe because they have heard OF her or seen her on late night a couple of times, but don’t know any songs by heart and are just vibing rather than cheering or singing. I’m often like that with openers, and I even search and “like” them on my music app so I can go relisten to them later after the show. An opener that you don’t know at all but just kind of grabs you is the best kind!
I thought it’d might be because now the song may feel different for her since her dad’s passing. Maybe now she gets to sing it as some sort of celebration of his memory. Also she dedicated to all fathers that were present. I don’t know, it’s just my thoughts. She seems happier now, ❤💖
I believe one day Julien Baker will make her metal album and Phoebe will be the vocals the end of I Know the End is all I need to hear to know Phoebe could kill it
The logo is more Death metal (which is just thrash, but weirder tbh), but she definitely has that Iron Maiden approach to some of her merch which is great.

night 3 here as well, specifically chose nashville (despite living in FL) for phoebe's opening set and was heartbroken when she was cut due to the weather. thank you sooooooooooo so much for the upload!!!! ❤❤❤
i dont know much about phoebe but from a few of the live performances i've watched of hers, i loooooveee how she hops down at like every show and interacts with the crowd and even gives a fan the mic to sing and she literally looks SOOO HAPPY while doing it. it melts my heart and i can;t help but smile along with her
She's wonderful live. It took me a number of listens of Punisher to realize how that same lilting 4-3 drop on DVD Menu reappears at the end of I Know the End, bringing the whole album full circle. So good.

Thank you SO MUCH for posting this!! I was there that night and got lost finding my seat so I missed the entirety of motion sickness, my favorite song. It’s good to know I can watch this and still hear it from that night.
I’m literally losing it bc I’m missing these concerts 😭 I don’t wanna look back and regret it but also don’t wanna waste all my savings money so conflicting lol
@@drews80sgarage34 I know it was incredible! Such a fun experience. Phoebe played Waiting Room and I think I actually lost it lol. Not to mention the amount of celeberties there. I was literally looking over at Gordon Ramsy as Phoebe was doing her set 🤯
What is going on here! Why is at 25 minutes into this show so many people moving around in the stadium. Like NO ONE is watching. It's like the 7th inning at a Dodger game. WTF?
@@cz9790 well Phoebe is just an opener and it’s Taylor’s show so a majority of people are there to see her. There’s an overlap between Phoebe and Taylor’s fan base but not everyone in the stadium is a fan of both and not everyone cares for openers
everyone raves about n3 and how lucky we were but I dont think those people realize what we boygenius and Phoebe bridges fans had to give up that night 😔
the other two members of boygenius, Julien and Lucy, joined her to perform “not strong enough” and do backing vocals on some of Phoebe’s solo songs (they did on the album recordings).
