I think it’s awesome that this band sounds as polished live as they do recorded. I’ve been to so many shows of bands whose albums I’ve liked, but then you go see them live, the singer can’t hold a note, drummer hoses the beat, the guitarist it super clumsy, etc. These guys are consistently spot on
@@bille77 too many to name all, but a few that stand out: Smashing Pumpkins bombed both times I saw them, Alice n’ Chains back in the 90’s was crap live. Siouxsie & The banshees: while the band was fine, her voice was all over the place (I suspect many libations before she got on stage)
If you feel silly not knowing about this fantastic music until today...so am I. Daaaaannng, where have I been for 50+ yrs? Tight band, hope they've had happy lives and good times.
How did KROQ assemble this crowd hahaha... Actual Phoenix fans would be singing moving crying and _losing their shit_ this def ain't them 🤤😴 Also their concerts attract the cutest babes anywhere like some mysterious French supermagnet. I mean you know... if you're into that kinda thing just passing it on ✌
Dude, right! I would’ve been straight *weeping* throughout this entire tune, singing every word, arms raised & waving, and howling like a feral animal whenever there was a pause in vocals
i hate how the crowd made it fucking ironic for the song. the song was about to lose your shit over performances like that and it was annoying to watch the crowd just being dead af and not going crazy over the song. this type of crowd doesn't even deserve concerts, y'all don't know how to get wild.
Don't just be snarky, show your examples. I think it's live. May possibly be boosted by a backup track but I see techniques used by professionals and true artist who some jerk managed to create canvas for to be the backdrop of. i.e. the mic pull away. This is legit. Try it. Seriously try it. You couldn't match this song 1 in a hundred if you wrote it yourself. It takes true skill to use your own backup track, the best skill. Not sure, 100% sure that's happening here and if it is it's still amazing.
Litsztomania is essentially prehistoric beatlemania. There was some composer who used to have flocks of fans show up at his shows. So it’s about that I guess lol
