It's amazing how basically the same song with slowed tempo and minor changes can sound so differently. At least it did for me personally. Old one was way more aggressive and (in my opinion) better resembed the name, but this version is... I don't know. For me it's like if an old version is a young man with certain thoughts and principles, than this one is basically the same person but who did some rethinking because of getting new life experience, getting older, mature. Yes, he is mostly the same, but he slowed down and became more philosophical instead of rushing forward. In old version pheonix rises through physical rebirth after dying in battle. Now this rise is a rebirth of this man's inner self -- he looks at the world from a slightly different perspective but this difference is big enough for him to feel reborn. Hope I put myself clear enough) Really love the fact that there are two different versions of this song and I actually see something comparing them with each other. Thanks for making me think and feel something special!
