My gods but her voice makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up, and not in a bad way. It is as if I'm accessing some sort of primal memory when she sings.
This was wonderful. I am used to Ralph Stanley singing it in traditional style of the Southern Mountains (I love that one a lot), but inviting the audience to "Om" along was innovative & the wonderful singer behind her singing counterpoint and that almost everyone was masked just makes the subject matter sink in. A wonderful song no matter how it is done.
I saw the Phoenix Rising show last year at A.R.T. They are going to be in Hanover, NH in July so I am getting a ticket to see it again. It is well worth seeing,
I love this collaboration of musicians!! It's truly so full of Spirit and sounds of voices through the ages!! Thank you for posting!!! Love to you Rhiannon!!!❤ Indiana, USA 4/9/24
It took a train ride from another city, overnight hotel stay, metro and shuttle on the hottest day in DC to see Rhiannon and Silkroad performed at Wolf Trap and it was worth every minute of the effort and expense to be there. Took a brother who knew nothing about her and he was absolutely blown away. The most inspiring musical experience I have ever had. Love her music, her passion and her storytelling.😂😂😂😂
please, someone get her to stop before she sings another song. I love hearing her try to sound soulful. It's all fake, folks. The real thing is out there in case you are interested.
