@@colter7240 I mean could you really say he got caught? I feel like it was more planned than a slip up cos Godot essentially does nothing to stop you from convicting him
Each pursuit theme had a general idea behind it. PWAA’s was about a lawyer who was still learning to battle in the courts cornering a lying witness. JFA’s was about a lawyer in his hardest trials, and in some of his most suspenseful battles. The urgency and suspense ramps up. T&T was about a cool, calm, collected lawyer, who was backing the witness into a corner in style.
It goes the same way for other soundtracks, like the objection and testimony themes. You can really feel Pheonix becoming more experienced throughout the trilogy
"No doubt it was you... Standing in here, this very court, a mere month ago. The Phoenix Wright who put up the most disreputable, shabby defense I had ever seen!"
@@LeFrancht27 instead of hell, she became Maya’s new pendant. Nick still has the magatama, and for a while, Maya didn’t have one, then after Dahlia is exorcised and becomes a pendant, she suddenly has one again. She’s wearing her dead cousins body as a pendant.
I like this one because from 0:00-0:29 it sounds like the other Pursuit themes, in that you've successfully backed the witness into a corner and getting close to the hidden truth. But after the 0:29 mark it sounds like you feel this seed of doubt in yourself, that's planted by the lying witness and the enemy prosecutor trying to disprove you. In other words, this theme invokes feelings of triumph and strength, but also doubt and desperation.
Dang, of all the Phoenix Wright soundtracks, this sounds the most Megaman Battle Network-like. I really like it, although somehow it sounds as if it could use a few more instruments for more intensity.
This game probably had the most different prosecutors we face off against and the closest one we’ve had to facing a different prosecutor every chapter. Chapter 1 we face Winston Payne. Chapter 2 3 and 5 we face Godot Chapter 5 we face Francis on the first day And chapter 4 we face Edgeworth. We literally faced off against 4 different prosecutors in this game alone.
We also play as 3 different main characters / defense attorneys: Mia Fey in Chapters 1 (Turnabout Beginnings) and 4 (Turnabout Memories) Phoenix Wright in Chapters 2 (The Stolen Turnabout) and 3 (Recipe for Turnabout) as well as on Chapter 5 (Bridge to the Turnabout)'s second trial. Miles Edgeworth as a replacement defense attorney on Chapter 5 (Bridge to the Turnabout)'s first trial. The closest there was to playing somebody else in previous games was Maya's little segment in Farewell, My Turnabout from Justice For All. This is anyways the first time another attorney than Phoenix is played.
You face off against every living prosecutor in the series at that point You can also say that we technically play as Gregory Edgeworth through Miles. Shu Takumi knew exactly what he doing when he wrote this game.
I think he’s referring to the opening at 0:06 which sounds similar to godots theme opening along with other small specs of it littered around the song.
some of the greatest moments in gaming history for me come from experiencing ace attorney’s soundtrack for the first time. the stories and ost will forever be one of the best parts of my gaming life

O my god I love this pursuit theme! The intensity is sky high and the melody is 👌. The second half of the song is sick and it rises in pitch just like it rises in intensity in the gameplay. Just gosh dang DRUMMER TAKE SOME LESSONS PLEASE
@@randomcoloradan2878 At least we don't have a circus crew who could give less of a shit about how not only was there a murder, but the victim was their RINGMASTER.
I remember hearing Pursuit - Questioned and Pursuit - Caught for the first time, I hadn't played either of the games, and I didn't care for them, but once I heard the themes in there games, I absolutely love these themes.
Such a fitting theme for the heated exchanges between Phoenix and Godot as well as Mia and Edgeworth in the fourth mission. The Objection soundbytes were a perfect compliment to this theme as well
One of the few pursuits where I actually prefer the normal version over variation, the slower tempo and the aggresive beginning just fit it more cleanly
controversial opinion but this is actually my favourite pursuit theme of the og trilogy I like the pitch changes as the theme goes further like the culprit has been caught like a deer in headlights and you’re slowly inching closer to them
When I first heard this, I didn’t know what the fuss was about. But after playing it, it sounds a lot a better for some reason. I just feel like it’s better with context
Fan Lyrics We both, want the same thing. How can we not, see eye to eye, in the final hour? You have your guilt. I have my will. You have your hate. I have my faith. We both, want the same thing. The truth, escapes us even now. It can be so hard to find. But I will not stop, searching for the truth. Until the guilty is caught!!!
I really feel like this theme is better without as many instruments. It helps build the stakes and sets a MUCH more dramatic setting. The other instruments feel forced and interrupting. Like a good court case interrupted by an explosion, they feel intrusive in a way.
A lot of people bash this song for being too slow and not as urgent as the other two themes (mostly Cornered) I personally feel as though people who say those things miss the overall point of this theme.
