Here for my weekend fix of AHC Garage. 👌🏻🙌🏻 Shoutout to Jon. You can tell he knows his stuff. Thats exactly what I did to figure out how to pronounce, "Tein." I called them. Much love from Utah Mike.
nice to see I'm not the only one redoing mods. my buddy lost an engine with a cold air intake, but I guess this car won't be driven when it's wet outside. clean Integra!
I really like how this car really embodies a good balance between OEM+ and 2000s tuner scene. Things like the yellow seats, blue calipers and plug wires etc. give it that tuner feel being so brightly colored and different but I really enjoy the OEM+ stuff like OEM style control arms and the Mugen air box using the stock tubing and laying low by being black. Great work on the car as always. It was awesome to watch this playlist. PS, I think it would be nice the next time you guys have the car to clean it up a little and get a spare set of rear strut tower covers and modify them to fit with the rear brace. You could tuck the red battery wiring too to clean up the bay a bit more (but if an eye sore IMO, especially being red).
That Mugen Intake was such a nightmare to install for me, so damn tight on a LHD car between the AC lines, torque mount and a Koyo rad on my car , Im not looking forward to removing it when I have to pull my motor. At least it sounds great lol. I believe I talked to the owner about it at the Honda meet last weekend. Even nicer to see in person.
It was very challenging for the Mugen intake installation since they are originally designed for the RHD. But it’s well worth it. Glad you are able to see it in person at the Honda meet
Need to attach the engine ground wire to the nut/stud on the valve cover. On the timing belt cover it’s not grounding anything because of the valve cover gasket. That threaded hole in the timing belt cover is actually for a throttle cable bracket used on RHD cars.
Nice job as always guys. Car is perfection. If it were mine I wouldn't change a thing.. except maybe amber turn signal lamps on the bumper might look better to me. Such a nice car
PIC did have a setup for the ITR. When PIC was around you'll just have to explain to them it's for a ITR. Cost a little extra but it was offered since I had a set on my R
I found a few DC2-R arms on eBay. Would those be ok to press in new bushing from H.R.? Found they sell the bushings separately. Do you have a pair the H.R. arms for sale? Going to put them on my EG6 with Matching Tein suspension from SiR that fit in these arms.
I assume they’re 16x8 wheels??? But what was the offset on those wheels? And what was the coilovers spring rate? My current springs are 18kg front and 16kg rear. Thanks
Hey AHC, Can you guys tell me how to identify a USDM ITR head? I have a PR3-4 head with dual OEM springs. No cams yet. I was told it’s from a 2000 USDM ITR but I also remember my 2000 Si I used to own had the same stamp. Any ideas how I can check/ measure things like ports or any other markings?
There's only a few things. Both B16 and ITR heads have the same"PR3" stamp. There's also a circle with the year stamp where you can reference to your head. So if your head is a 2000, it should have a stamp of "99" or "00". Also ITR does have dual valve springs vs B16 is single. As for the ports, it's very hard to tell. Hope this helps.
Great question. The valve cover on this car is not a Spoon valve cover. Just like you mentioned, the Spoon valve cover has a gloss and smooth finish. The owner likes the yellow wrinkle finish on his valve cover, definitely a unique finish option.
@@ahcgarage ohhh ok cause I know that. There is two versions of the spoon but good to know and I personally liked the wrinkle yellow looks really nice wonder what they used
Hey I see that Hardrace sells just the rear ITR LCA bushings but have heard they can be difficult to press in as they can deform the LCA? Do you guys know what special tools you would need for that to work?
Getting ready to put Tein Flex Z on my ITR, just one thought. Where did you find a brake line bracket for the front. I am going to try and take the set off of my original.
