Phono Cartridge Comparison: Ortofon 2M Red vs 2M Blue. 

2007 The 2M Red and Blue share the same body, yet the Blue is almost twice the cost of the Red. The only difference is the stylus. The Red uses a bonded diamond and the Blue is nude mounted and visually, the Blue diamond is more refined and seems to be of better quality. But does that translate into better sound? Ortofon claims that the Blue adds more dynamics and resolution and sounds more open and reproduces more detail compared to the Red.
