Hello Vinyl Translator. Nice collections for your cartdriges...and great video. I have an Ortofon 2M Black and THORENS TD 125 MKII with original tonearm. No problems azimouth with Shibata diamond. Sound is very exellent...!!!
Hi, nice collection. I find it hard to compare given we are listening to vinyl over RU-vid. I have the VMS20e MkII and find that it is beautiful with voice, strings, piano. Superb mid-range. Thanks.
Nice video again. Though I would not compare Ortofon OM cartridge to a VMS or 2M. The OM was a visually appealing design, although soundwise it was a downgrade compared to VMS/FF line. It was later mitigated by the SuperOM body, which is effectively the basis of the 2M body. The OM body sounds inferior to the SuperOM and 2M bodies, there is more air and detailes in the former two of them.
I only have this channel. Creating these videos takes a lot of time and I only review comments when ever I take a break which is not that frequent. Feel free to use the comments feature. I may not get to them right away, but I'll do my best.
@@vinyltranslators3730 Can I call you V.T.? If I may ask you, what you think of the Shure V15-3 w/ a Jico SAS stylus? I was considering a Grado Platinum3 MI for a change. I believe they have a higher output, 5mv Vs. 3.5mv. Maybe a bit more bottom end? Thank You very much. God Bless.
I reserved 2 headshells for my "permanent" cartridges. I haven't swapped them out for almost 2 years. One is the Shure ML140HE and the other is the Stanton 981HZS. My favorite (according to my ears) is the Shure. It has a full, rich sound that excels with vocals and jazz music.
Doesn't seem tight enough to the headshell you can see gaps. you really want to tighten it as much as possible without breaking it. if you move the rack say 8" at 90° to the other floorboard, or the support you're not on a support at the moment doesn't look like, it should be better for it sonically and when moving about.
