Honestly, this channel needs allot more views and subs. Content quality is excellent just as the other videos. Cmon people, share this, let's help him out! :)
@@SmartSolutionsForHome I'll be honest I had no idea how few (relatively) subscribers you had. I subbed a while back after the doorbell project and just assumed yours was a big channel I'd somehow overlooked.
I now have the same T-shirt as you, I also have printers on concrete slabs, and I do similar things to you. I think we are even of a similar age; D Guy, you are my buddy! Great tutorial! Professional, thoroughly made and very inspiring. Fully deserved subscription!
Bro I am fusion user Also a diy maker ... Wanna say I am really thankful for what u shared This is massive upgrade for me After switching to form in fusion and stuck also using blender do such things This is awesome I tried photogeomitry 2 years ago and didn't have much luck , but I will give a second go this with a decent 3d scanner is awesome I am trying this for a joystick for rc plane / Can u share a community page for plz or discord or whatever u like
dont get why people still doing photos... just take video of object with fixed camera settings, split into wanted amount of frames with Vlc player and use those images to do mesh calculations... much faster to film object than photgraphing, much more frames, frames low size thus easier to calculate....
For a couple of bucks (maybe less) you can use Reality Capture, THE best PG software on the market. Those wait time would be completely eliminated. For a simple model like this with cellphone resolution photos, the final product would cost a dollar or two.
Hey mate, Just wondering is it possible to scan the object by rotating it in space rather than the camera? For some things I'm sure it'd be easier to just rotate the object against a constant background.
Hey, it can be done, but it isn't easy. In that case, the background must be completely uniform. Preferably white or black. Without any reference points. Just constant background isn't enough. If there are any reference points, the software for photogrammetry will be lost.
Thanks for taking the time to share the process, I can see you put a lot of work into this. I don’t know what I will make yet, but it will be the goto video if I think of something. Look forward to part 2. I have liked and subscribed 👍
