The best solutions for museums, is to promote their exhibits with a couple of things that you can see in VR, and invite you to see the rest in real life. Also doing both public and private (inside the museum) exhibits of old books / manuscripts, and things that you can't touch because they're too fragile. And making virtual models that you can manipulate, with no danger to the originals. That way you'd be able to read the dead sea scrolls, with a possibility of having an overlay of the native language to the viewer. All kinds of amazing exhibits that require interaction could be made from the vast amount of forensic data museums collect when they first acquire an exhibit.
