Photographer's Weirdest Strategy! - Listen Viable?!

Listen is the only hunter trait that almost never sees play, especially in mid to high tiers. After reading this comment by Marcus Grian, I felt inspired to see if his strategy would work in reality. Today we test out the Joseph Listen strategy, diving full force into trying to make this build viable. Want to see if Listen really is viable? Maybe trump card listen would work better? you can use listen to down everyone early game and then just switch to either teleport or blink

i agree. it would be very useful using teleport right after listening.

To be honest u don't need listen to pull this off, devastery has used a strategy where he waits til ciphers are wiggling before taking a picture, then teleports to any of the ciphers in the photo world. the only downside may be decoding progress but at least u don't waste a trait for it(or use strat n.3 aka quenching effect)

As a Joseph main, I don't trust myself to play without blink. 😅 Only exception being when the team has 2 or 3 stunners so I am forced to carry excitement. The strategy seems interesting but I would never give it up for listen XD.

I think the build with listen is interesting and I think it can have potential. Obviously the map size will have a big impact on the strat, which is a bit unfortunate.

if we're talking about listen strats, there's one with breaking wheel after chairing someone, you use the majority of your listen. this will either - allow you to know which ciphers are being decoded and know where the rescuer may come from - or stop a rescuer from decoding or rotating to the chair its such a fun strat when you just wanna have some fun with wheel boi, and its effective too:)

I feel like the build isn’t meant for chase but meant to down though photo worlds and when cameras are down just cipher pressure so you can wait until cameras are up, but even then, it would be iffy and you would need a different trait like abnormal or teley

A problem with this build is you could just wait for the ciphers to start shaking before popping the camera to find survivors and not waste your trait on listen

Hmmm -It depends on your remember nearest survival spawn and chase them then turning camera on and use listening that not wasted time -My build is 3-6 (small map) And 3-12 ( large map) -use listening ONE then changed to teleport or blink because later listening is useless - use this tactic in manticore rank and below -That how Joseph + listening work And omg you actually read my comment thank you ❤❤❤❤❤

@@user-ix6bg3gn9x orders to destroy pallets fast and you can pressure survival team in earlier game If late game in big map you are done 12 you can chase early on and catch them

The card trick? Yeah, I didn't use it much! I wouldn't say I am that confident with it as I don't play Joseph that often.

If i were to change listen it would be something like this When you run during listen same thing will happen but if the survivor walks or crouches they will receive a semi transparent red outline that gets even more transparent depending on how far the hunter is to the survivor And when you we're injured while the hunter is using listen the survivor's trails are longer to disappear EDIT: now the problem is that if listen was like this there is no reason to use peeper unless this listen has a long cooldown like other traits

Listen is good on camping to prevent people from going in to rescue before half without being noticed, allowing you to get an early hit and potentially snuff the rescue if they try to commit.

You don't need listen to find people, while ur in camera world you can hear the cipher being decoded just turn your music off cause it gets in the way, that's the best way to TS survs.

I think you don’t down survivors in the mirror world as photographer, it’s better if you let them be injured so they will not be able to heal. And they will still be a 1hit

As a Joseph main you did not play well because: 1. You could have gotten a terror shot by coming out of the mirror when the survivors docod in real world. 2. After hitting a suv in the mirror world and chairing them, you continue to downing suvs rather than injured them.So of course you lose because u did not see the mistake you made

How can netease just look at this and think this is okay?!? The pure existance of listen is clearly a huge threat to game balance, and what is netease doing about this? Of course, absolutely nothing. They are just watching us suffer as we try our best to play against the metabreaker listen, only to realise that it is pointlsss. Never before has a strategy been so overpowered for no reason with so little counterplay. Netease, if you don't nerf listen your game will die because of this. This is a serious issue. This is not healthy for the game. Nerf pls

Man, as a main survivor and hunter aswell, i can assure you hunters mainly use Listen when they recently started. Mid tier and after mid, they mainly use "Blink, Excitement, patroller, peeper" It's VeEeeery, like, veeEery strange to encounter in mid tier one using listen xd
