Hi Mike! Really enjoyed the video. You're right, rats aren't everyone's favourite animal, in fact for a lot of people they are their least favourite, but personally I love them! They're fascinating, and photographically one of the easiest animals to take pictures of!

It's a great idea to give even the unpopular but no less interesting animals like rats some space in the coverage, Mike! You took wonderful photos, this is a very special video for me! Many thanks for this, and best regards, Rolf

Perhaps you could do a video showing some of your photos that sold well on the photography stock sites and the stories behind them.

Your commentary on this video was particularly interesting and I really liked the images you did with beams of light from the flash. Thanks again Mike

Very nice, i like your videos very much. On this one i specially apreciate that you show also pictures which lead you to better ones. Very motivating for people to experiment and not copy still same poses of animals. Thank you.

very good Mike .A few more with the EM1X with birds would be nice .you make things look so simple. been out and collected some branches with red berries, went out for some Teasels ,came back with burdock ,but not had any luck yet with the gold finches.I have two who visit but go to the feeder. Thanks for all the tips & techniques . My garden is getting wilder by the day LOL

We've seen from your bird photos that you have a lot of patience, but two days for one rat photo must have tested your limits!

Lovely to see the proces, I also love to stick to an idea and work it out for a while, sometimes even a year (actionshots of kingfishers). Always great video's you have!

nice video! the last picture is my favourite, really amazing work! didn't the rat mind the flash? i'm always sceptical about using flash on wildlife, but i can imagine that it is something different with tame animals, which maybe get used to it...

Rats do not react to flash. Birds rarely show any reaction.
