PHOTOGRAPHING BROWN HARES / STALKING TECHNIQUES / WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY 

Theres no denying it, photographing any wild mammal can be a challenge. Brown Hares can provide a particular set of challenges. Depending on the environment you're photographing them in, you can find them in huge fields and the only way to get your desired shot is to stalk them. You know what this involves, good camo and even better stalking techniques.
I take a visit to a local permission where theres a good head of these amazing creatures. In this film I demonstrate the concealment that I adopt and a couple of techniques of moving over the ground in an efficient way to enable you to get close for those intimate shots. I decided to use the 500mm f4 and combined with the 1.4 x teleconverter to give me a little extra reach. So grab a brew, put your feet up and check out the results.
