Some fantastic examples of blending exposures, assume using luminosity masks. It seems that the workshop participants were satisfied with the learned and had a good time. Keep it up Nick!
Just did Astoria to Brooking so it was fun to see what you shot. I found out early nothing dries in Oregon, I love Oregon. I brought my good fishing hip waders. Two seconds to put on and off. Perfectly dry and ready to go eat seconds after shooting. Everybody was saying wow wish I had those. Great thing is you can kneel down and even your knees are protected for those low shots. I was laughing because I did the same thing the first day out of my 25 day trip because I was to lazy to put them on. Looks like you had a couple color days. So hard to get there. Thanks for sharing!

You captured some beautiful photos there. I love the Oregon coast. I've been to Thor's Well once to take photos but had a seizure and had to leave with mediocre "scouting" photos. The tide was out so they wouldn't have been that great anyway. Chasing storms on the coast is really fun. I've captured some that I'm really proud of.
Well done. I love the Oregon Coast. I definitely need to work on my skills but the last time I was down there I got some great pics of some of the lighthouses.

It was so odd to see you in this video at a place literally just down the street from my house. I live on the water at the Southern Oregon Coast. You picked good days for your trip, as I type this out the wind is hammering my house and the rain is coming down sideways. If you are ever in this area again I would love to meet and show you a few overlooked areas here.
Yer Video is Just as great as the pictures. Good Stuff. I just got a D7000 With two lenses 18/55mm and a 55/300mm Cant wait to take more photos and continue past using my phone
Hey Nick, you should check out Neskowin beach! Its a bit north ( i think) of Cape Kiwanda. Its a bit busy at times but it has an awesome island. Given the right time of day its an awesome location! I'm from Beaverton!

Nicely done as usual Nick. One comment though... I think I'd have had the camera or tripod tethered to something in that spot just past the 5:11 mark. Ask me how I know :(
Im glad to see a new video. Where was that first location? You got a cool area to do photography, I live on the east coast, nothing but flat beaches and sand.

Inspiring video! How would you describe your typical workshop attendee? Hobbyist, semi-pro, etc.? I've got to try one of your workshops, but worry if I'm good enough to really learn and yet not hold anyone back.

No, all these locations are well south of there. Incidentally, it's spelled "Cannon Beach," although it’s easy to be confused with all the 5Ds out there on days with good sunset light. 😂
