Hello mr Legionnaire , what about inviting some of your friends from this photo , to make a interview together , it would be so nice and beautiful to watch and hear. Greetings From Poland
I always wanted to join the French Foreign Legion, but it never came to it, instead, I kept on driving a truck from Europe to the middle east and beyond. I love watching movies, stories about the FFL.
Salut thomas. Ca fait plaisir de t'entendre parler de Djibouti. Mais pourquoi tu ne mets des photos ou tu es en ville. Cafe de Paris, Bar la Lune ou flamingo. Tu connais bien ces noms, n'est-ce pas ?
Amazing intro Thomas, I really enjoy your stories thanks for share. Im very curious, what did you eat in operations, only MRE or you can eat the local food? If that is the case what was your favourite food?
Thomas did you capture poachers on your posting at the reserve. If so how did the local government deal with them. Amazing pictures thank you for sharing
There are Videos of him talking about it briefly. The Legion took them out. From a military perspective a very good decision, because poachers in Africa are armed, desperate and dangerous.
I shall look for it thanks. Oh yes lots of weapons on the Continent. If it wasn't already bad enough with the amount of arms there is' of the 54 Afican countries 11 are producing firearms for their Military and Police, unfortunately many of these end up with militia' poachers and so on. Am glad the Legion took no prisoners by what your saying 👏🏽
I will have to put my emphasis on this: The Legion had a mission there. The mission is holy. The legionaries did what they had to do to fulfill the mission. I do certainly see the moral side, but it was the Legion that gave moral to the defenseless animals that were about to be poached. One more reason for me to love France and the legion. You never prey on the weak.
Let me suggest an interview : Major Gerald and the Adjudant!! (anyone curious look up the legion etrangere youtube channel. There's Major Gerald, a legion sports coach. The dude is a total beast and funny in its own way. )
I have a question, sir. But first i tell you my storie. In march this year, i go in LE, recruitment post, Paris. There i got the psyhological test, medical and sport. After a week me and other 4 guys, i left to Aubagne with the train accompanied by a caporal chef. At Aubagne i stay more two weeks, i do more medical test, and psyhological test, and the gestapo. Befor i the final selection, i left home, becaus when i go to France, my mother was really sick, and that stay in my heart and mind all the time. They give me unfit for 6 month, and next month i go back. My question is, they will understand me, and give me a second chance?
@@stewartbeveridge5024 hey Stewart , I grew up in Germany. I was born I weilmunster, spent nine years 45 min outside of Frankfurt on mine. I remember the US military doing maneuvers outside of our home.
@@Holydecipher Ouh okay, Tq sir. One more question sir. Will they tell me to leave islam or not? Because someone tell me the people who want join FFL should leave their religion. And can i join anytime i want?
@@Khan-tt2fq IAM french Muslim (algerians parents) and I want to join french foreign legion too in two years inchallah. I guess they won't tell us to give up our religion . Maybe we won't have time to pray but after the training we will be able to do this. Just tell them what they want to hear if they ask you a question about your religion as example will you eat pork ? Tell them yes I will if I have nothing to eat. I will respond that to them but they won't refuse you because you are a Muslim french foreign legion welcomed all foreigners whatever their religion
@@Khan-tt2fq I will try to answer your question, since I’m a religious man myself. You will have to ask yourself how religious are you. How do you see the rules of Islam in your life? There are 5 major things to consider: fist there is „Salat“ - you will not be able to pray five times a day, every day at the times you should be praying. Second - You will not be able to see your wife a lot so you will need to life without sex most of the time. Third - music. Many scolars in Islam say music is haram. You will hear singing and will have to sing. Fourth - Alcohol. Nobody will force you to drink alcohol, but it will always be there, in some divisions you will actually habe to take part in making wine - picking grapes and such. Fifth is the elefant in the room - You might have to kill someone! The guns are not for show. For me personally being a soldier and being religious never go well together. If your faith is greater than your desire to become a soldier so may God bless you. If it is the other way - you might want to join the french foreign legion. Please be sure to have a clean consciousness no matter what you do my friend. God bless you.
