I remember what my mentor said (he's a senior art director), "A lot of people interested to photography and they trying to take it seriously, but they're missed something, they did start without basic foundation of design theory." And today, after watching this I make my own reflection that after 3 years of learning photography (on my own) I realize that I'm lack of theory, but it's never be late to learn, right? So here I am, gonna start from the beginning to learn foundation of photography by your video. This is so helpful, I feel like in an art class. Thank you so much. Regards from Indonesia.

Ted, you probably already know this, but I just have to say it anyway: Your photography podcast is the best out there - and believe me, I've wasted many a hour on the other stuff! You obviously take time to prepare a quality show, the visual and audio quality is also very good. At the end of the day, I hope you know how much we appreciate your time and knowledge. You're def "paying it forward", and I sincerely thank you.

Ted, these podcasts are excellent...especially the ones on technique and of those, shapes brings it all together. I would be interested in one on portraits as they relate to the composition topics on which you have focused. Thank you!!!

DSLR video can produce same shallow depth of field as photography at large apertures. It's the small sensor size at camcorders that causes large DoF even at large apertures.

Ted, the lowest link is missing the "m"! Takes me to a nowhere page, but I know it's just because of the spelling error. Awesome site though. I love how clean it is, and how it's responsive. Great work!

I have a project coming and I wanted to know... Can you use these "classic" photos without worrying about copyright? I am interested in using some Avedon, Bresson and other's pictures but dont want to be sued :-) or my youtube page taken down.
