Hello there! Many of you seem to enjoy the occasional GX80 content so here's some more! :D In this session I was out shooting with the Lumix during sunset and blue hour - I hope you enjoy the behind the scenes! :)
Hey i'm planning on buying this camera, would you say it's good for moon shooting, if not would you recommend me any budget friendly compacts that have good low light quality to shoot the moon?
I really love it when you use your gx80 ... maybe because it's my camera too 😁 but you use it very well than I do haha looking forward for more vids like this. Really love the 1st and 2nd photo and the one with the birds and with the moon above the trees ... oh yeah and your portrait shot where you were on top of that hay stack ... cool one Teo!
I like how you comment every photo, even the ones you don't really like. It makes your vlogs look real, and shows that not every photo is perfect which is really rare among photography channels on RU-vid. This video makes me want to buy a GX80 :)
I've been a Nikon FF shooter for several years. Bought a GX85 just this year and have gotten amazing photos. I leave the Nikon at home and grab the GX85 for all but portraits. It's just a fantastic camera and its kit lenses are great.
In my opinion it is great to see you walking around and having a good time with photography and not been so focused that every shot counts. Great content!
Ohh nonono I'm not very fast☝🏼 I just cut a portion of the composing process out of the video, otherwise it would be 90 minutes long hahah😅😂 For example the composition of the hay bales and me: I sat there behind the tripod for roughly 3 minutes to get it just right. And then I didn't even get it right - I had to slightly straighten the horizon in Lightroom🤦🏻♂️
My gf *just* bought a GX80. I hope she'll get into photography like me. I use an E-M5 MKII. Your video is pretty inspiring, you can do a lot with a sundown and some trees!
Ahhh the small and able gx80 :)) I enjoyed today’s video, taking us around the field again and the BTS shots. I like the trio shot followed by the slow shutter shot when you were blurry. It makes such a good candid shot
Hi, iam user gx85 for 2 year still beginner. Your video impressd me so much. Will be keep pratice , shooting, filming by the way. Thank you for inspire :)
I absolutely love these types of videos! You are my favorite photographer and youtuber and inspire me to go out and create!! I love the photos at 1:50, 2:25, 4:31, 7:04, and my favorite one is at 8:50!!
Ohh wow... that is so sweet, thank you so much Courtney!🥺 It's you and the people like you that motivate me too! I'm so happy to know I can inspire you!🤗
Hey so I'm currently studying abroad and want to get into taking pictures more and was thinking of getting a camera to take some memorable pictures, but I have no idea where to start. Ideally a camera that is good for street photography but has some versatility for studio shots as I'm a design student. Would you recommend the gx80? I'm also considering the Fuji xa5 or an old fuji x pro 1? £400 is probs the most im gonna get out of my parents 😂
Thank you!🙇🏻♂️ Ahh interesting that you say so. I personally prefer to exaggerate the rule of thirds by setting the horizon even lower for example, which consequently leads to more sky - it's quite a personal taste I guess🤷🏻♂️
6:05 If I had to take a guess 🤔, I would say it is because the 50mm (100mm ff equivalent) lens renders the perspective in the image quite flat due to compression and therefore you miss a little extra "pop" in your subject like in your other shots. Otherwise, I found the orangey bits in the trees and the yellow hay bales, contrasting with the greens from the trees and the grass, to result in a very pleasing backdrop. 🤗 Maybe the image would be complete if you change the colour of your jacket in Photoshop to something more reddish, which should add some separation.
Amazing photos Teo - thinking about getting the GX85 but want film type photos from a digital camera without editing them. I know that the Fuji x series has recipes baked in that can do this. Can I do this with the GX85?
I'd be interested to know if the AF is sharp in stills. I don't do video myself. I have a GX80, and hardly use it. I've been using the G6 and the AF is rubbish. I hope the GX80 is better. With lockdown, I don't go shoot now, but would be curious to know about your experience with the AF in the GX80. Thanks
Hey Teo, Great work and learning content. 😊👍🏽 I have a question: Which cameras with flip screens are the best? Looking for one but just don't know which camera is best for photo shoots. Thought I'd ask you because your camera reviews are really realistic and authentic. Thank you 😊🙌🏼
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! :) I can't really answer your question, because there is no such thing as the "best" camera, it's all about personal preferences. I'm planning to make a video on budget cameras to get started with photography to post in January, but until then you can try to get an idea with an older video I made on the same topic: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w5_ArCThqAM.html&lc=Ugwdp8aaL-yYFAlCT1p4AaABAg This video is aimed at hybrid shooters, whereas the new one I want to make at new year is more aimed at photographers - it'll come out in about a month I think :)
Thank you!🙇🏻♂️ Haha that might be indeed not so far off. I live in Austria, so not so far from wherever in Germany they shot DARK. Germany has a similar climate as we do, so it looks quite like Austria🤷🏻♂️
Hi there Teo! Sorry late to the party! I just recently found your channel and have been loving your vids!! Thank you for your stunning content and photography! Oh also what lenses are you using in this vid? I’m just now learning the different in lenses. I have the same camera the lumix gx85. Hope all is well Teo!! Best wishes for the new year coming ahead. Oh and Merry Christmas!! 🎄🎁
None of these photos were very wide angle🤔 - from the two lenses I had the wider one was the 20mm f/1.7 (FullFrame equivalent to 40mm). The other one was the Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 If something looked wide angle it's probably because I stood quite far away from the subject🙌🏼
@@teocrawford You could try this cheap handgrip for gx80. www.ebay.com/itm/Grip-For-Panasonic-Lumix-GX85-GX80-/113684878686 I have tried much more expensive grips, but this is absolutely great and light. It offers just the lack on the original camera without much weight or dimensions. I think that they are 3D printed, so if you got such a printer... My other handgrip for my beloved gx80 is of aluminium and not as good to hold the camera.
i'm planning on buying this camera, would you guys say it's good for moon shooting, if not would you recommend me any budget friendly compacts that have good low light quality to shoot the moon?
The one standing on top of the hay bale was so good! I love the very first shot too. Frankly, this is the first video of yours I've seen and I'm subscribing! One last thing, your video reminds me of a UK photographer, James Popsys. Great guy, Lumix shooter too. Check him out.
Sweet, thank you!🤗 In the video the smaller lens was the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 and the slightly bigger lens is the Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 with an adapter👌🏼
Do you find 16MP enough for most photographers' uses? I have this camera too, and I'm not quite sure the 16MP sensor gives me a sufficient amount of detail in my images. What do you think?
This depends sooo heavily on the photographer... If I were a commercial photographer I'd be a little unsure about a 16MP sensor. But for me and my artistic purposes this is more than enough...I mean I even add grain in post, which results in even less detail🤷🏻♂️ I hope this helps👀
Character and price. Canon FD lenses are known for their unique character and I got this lens for I think 50€, which I believe is far less than the Olympus🤔🙌🏼
Hey what settings do you usually use for day time landscapes like in this video? Aperture, ISO etc.. And do you shoot on the Natural profile? Love the videos!
It always depends on the light and what exactly I am shooting, but usually I keep my Aperture and ISO as low as possible. But the aperture is actually only so low, because I usually don't bother to close the aperture for landscapes, it works wide open as well :D And then I just adjust the shutterspeed accordingly to balance the exposure🙌🏼 I shoot all my photos in RAW so the picture profile actually doesn't matter - but I think I've got mine set to natural🤔 Happy to read that, thank you🙇🏻♂️
