PhotoLab 8: What's New

Thank you for a very clear presentation. I do think, however, that it is disingenuous of DXO to leave the impression that PL8 includes a luminosity mask when one has to purchase Filmpack at $139 extra in order to get that functionality

Some great improvements. I would love to see proper Fujifilm X-Tran support for XD2s.

I enjoy using PL as my primary photo editing tool. Since nice features PL8 - the luma curve in particular (only with the Film Pack?)! A vectorscope (or some other skin tone guide) would be nice though. Fake vignettes without having to buy the Film Pack? And I don't know if this is a preference of someone, but I think the highlights slider could use a bit of a rework.

I use 5, I think it's very good. 8 seems sooooo expensive.

Shouldn't loading performance improvement be included into a patch of previous version PL? 😅

Really like the improvement in the tone curve. I use it a lot. However, dealing with skin tones is a pain. Sometime it make the skin to orange.

Does XD/XD2s work with Fujifilm .RAW files yet?

This is extremely painful. I just bought PL7 about 3 weeks ago at full price, and now the upgrade is another $100. Sigh...

Hm i am still in DxO 6 nice upgrade hope i can do that soon to versión 8 🎉

I will not be buying it because i have photolab 7 and every time l want to use it i have to wait about 5 minutes while it loads.
