I think I heard something about this, I'm pretty sure what they were talking about was the possibility that it was fireworks and that Trump was injured while he was getting down because he wasn't bleeding much. As the even was happening there was also speculation that it was a pellet or bb gun of some sorts and not an actual firearm which is probably why that question was asked. But I do see the irony in the question, and listening to the audio you can tell it was definitely a gun and not one of the other options
