Hi Amanda! I'm pretty on the fence about this feature. It's wild to think how far tech has come and this has been a life-saver for things like extending backgrounds and edges of objects - it was able to recreate the edges of some fruit in one of my images where I had initially cropped part of the fruit out, so I love it for that. But my fear is that it's taking the human touch out of our craft, may result in lots of lazy work, and just the whole principle behind what you see in an image reflecting reality - how will we know what's real? I think about how much effort would have gone into styling the milkshakes that the AI generated here (and the pressure of working with something that will melt!) and it makes me sad that people will be able to do this with a click of a button. I love being impressed with what people pull off in-studio and it leaves so much more mystery when an image makes you say "how did they do that?!". Now people might just assume it was AI generated even if it's not the case, and sort of cheapens the effort. What are your thoughts?

I definitely see the concern for sure! And I share those views as well. The milkshake was actually not AI generated. Not sure if I made that clear or not in the video. For that scene it was using the generative fill feature to simply remove the milkshake and I photoshopped a milkshake I photographed for another image as a replacement. Just made the whole process much easier. I think the beauty of photography though that's never been lost is the the human element. Is the self-expression of the creator behind it. It's the emotion we put into our work that makes it different and unique. And I think (I hope) that as AI gets better, it will still be the fact that WE as humans have unique experiences that are represented in our work that make it different. Because if everyone is simply using AI, how are we ensuring that our work is different from everyone else? And it also becomes about the PASSION for the art of photography. I know I wouldn't be very passionate about just using AI to build a photo all the time. That's not fun, it doesn't push the creative boundaries... and sure there will be brands who want to take shortcuts and want to reduce costs so they might take on more of an AI approach.... but I also believe that brands want to work with passionate individuals who truly care about their craft. Who truly care about bringing a creative vision to life. The photographers who are so passionate about what they do will find longevity in this space with the rise of AI. Because at the end of the day, it's also another human being who is behind a brand as well, who is also passionate about THEIR product. And this is where passion meets passion to bring about incredible and unique creative ideas and results. :)

@@amandacampeanu All such great points, and SO true about the passion. Thanks for sharing that perspective - I think that outlook will help keep us grounded with all the mixed emotions coming from these changes. But yes I see now that the milkshake wasn't AI Generated so my apologies! I was bouncing back and forth between you and Alistair in BBVC haha and stopped to answer your question from the intro. Spending my evening packing my brain with info from the two of you!

#replay. AI is trending life. Fear computers will replace humans. Advance to present day; computer expedites work and task completion but still requires human intervention to facilitate action in order for computer to react. Embrace and learn to better and futurize your workflow.🙏📸🎞👣👣👣

Amanda...you are hands down one of the most ethical creators out there!! Thank you for being honest and ethical about posting AI.....also, you are one of the only fully encompassing channels with a legit course offering! I am saving up the money for it. Thank you for not being in it just to get $1000 for a lazy consumer, but for those of us willing ro dig in and actually work. Not just put in a rough 1 hour of AI , post it and call it a day!!

Hi there! How can i get the ai to make the same background for two separate photos?
@amandacampeanu
@amandacampeanu Год назад
For these photos the background is real as I shot it in real life. I don’t think it’s possible for AI to create the exact same background again and again. It will always be different even with a different prompt.

The human eye will be able to detect anything slightly out with matching lighting etc, so I think it's a way off replacing human input. Probably in the next 2 years though, who knows! Also, the algorithm doesn't recognise verbs, so putting "Add" doesn't do anything. Adobe built it to understand nouns and adjectives, so just "Juicy blackberry" is all that was needed.

Hi, did anyone had luck wrapping jewelry objects around a wrist/finger/neck using Generative AI?

Thanks! I failed to follow up with this new feature! It will save time to look for and download, cut out a stock image. I will try it soon and hope to see it mature and allow us to use for commercial works. It is somehow like mid journey....

7:18 May I ask when you were asked to have another version that you did not have and you said to provide photoshop to make it happen, there would be additional charge, right?

So as long as we use our own product photo inside of a generated image in photoshop it is legal to use it for our commercial work?
@amandacampeanu
@amandacampeanu Год назад
At the moment using any generated image that photoshop generates cannot be used for commercial use. Even if you’re using your own photo. Once it comes out of beta phase I’m sure this will change
@OneAwareness1

@@amandacampeanu Okay, but as far as I can tell there is no way for Adobe or the customer to know if the raspberry is from Photoshop beta.
