My gosh, how long does it take you to come up with this stuff? This is amazing! I would love to know your thought process when creating stuff like this so that I can learn how to do it on my own. Thank you for the fantastic video!
I use Pinterest for inspiration, mostly textures, paintings, drawings and color palettes. Putting it together in Photoshop is like creating an illustration, in some ways. I break up my examples into elements like shape and lighting. Then I try to “rebuild” it with shapes and layer styles (texture, shadow, highlight, etc.) I also watch a lot of tutorials. By watching this tutorial, you know how I would do it. Don’t just learn one way, keep watching others as well it will help you figure out how you would do it.
Quite a struggle to get polygon/star proportions right with my latest PS update. After 20 minutes "fiddling around" I seem to have the polygon shape you require. Phew!
