If you are not see "sketch" in filter you need to do: Preferences/ Plug ins / (sellect the box) Show all filter gallery groups and names.

i did your tutorial and it worked great but now i’m trying take it a step further and create burn marks thru the dollar bill but when i go to create the “hole” with the lasso tool then try to hide selection thru layer mask it won’t let me, any advice ?

Thanks for the video and all the help. I enjoyed it very much. I looked for a video that tell me how to add a Chanel where I can put my photo in it. But can't find one. Another way is to go to Filter and Filter Gallery. Then, go to Filter, Sketch, Halftone Pattern.

When you're finished with your paper money image, use the crop tool to crop it to the width and height of the actual dimensions of paper money . Make its resolution 300 ppi.

It's illegal for someone to print money in the USA (other than the US Mint), however, this tutorial shows how to replicate a basic steel engraving look to a subject and apply it to faux money.
