In version CC 2015, Smart Objects can be inverted. However, to invert Smart Objects in earlier versions, click the adjustment layer icon and click "Invert". :-)

+Blue Lightning TV hmm that does not work either? I am using CC 2014. When I do that the adjustment layer goes above the image and it get inverted but in a way that the background and face is black(I use my own photo.). The hair and the eyes are white. Well anyway I skipped the "Smart Object" and it worked except changing picture. Have a nice day.

After I turned into a draw,how can I color it with photo shop?I mean different colors like original photo. like a coloring book. And can I add other photos, stickers too? Like a hat or glasses? thanks

+Maciej Dukacz me too, once 'Convert to Smart Object' is applied the option to invert is greyed out.

To invert the Smart Object, you can also click the adjustment layer icon and click "Invert".

When I removed the background, Can i print the photo without black background,like a sticker? I want to print my dog on t-shirt but without background, so when I save it,how can i save without black background? Just the doggy. thank you

why not just right click in the smart object, and click "replace image" then find the image you want to put in there...and you don't have to resize it, it will fit it right in that image.
