Marty, I just watched the above vid tut, which is the first one I've seen by you. You are an excellent instructor - not ambiguity, no self-depreciating comments, no attempt at mindless humor - you just deliver the straight goods A to B! I cannot express my deep appreciation strongly enough for the clarity of your instruction. I don't really care if you have errors in your tuts. They can be figured out or corrected. Thank you very much for your willingness to duplicate a user's point of view.

I agree completely. I have been following Marty's tutorials for years now. They are always of the highest standard; clear and concise without a wasted word. Marty, unlike some others in the game, especially a certain one, does not make his tutorials as though they are all about him, like some Z List talk show host, with a grating voice. By contrast Marty's voice relaxes me. Marty is an example of how it should be done.

The shortcut "D" does not work in the Layers panel with Photoshop CC 2017 version. What is the purpose of using this command and what is the 'new' shortcut or menu option?

hey Marty i have an issue with your toturial when i try to feather the selection it says: Warning no pixels are more than 50% selected. the seælection edges will not be visible... what's wrong. PS: i've tried it with cc 2015 and gets the same warning

+Søren Sørensen The selection is still there. It's just not visible when it's under 50%. The word "warning" should be removed by Adobe because it makes people think there's no selection.

in 2017, to repeat the filter its actually alt + ctrl + f5

I'm using 2017. Ctrl + F to repeat last filter. You could go to Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts and under Application Menus>Filter change Last Filter to Ctrl or Command + F to get Last Filter as in previous versions. Then Ctrl+Alt+ F and Command+Option+F will work again for repeat filter with dialog.
