Glad to hear it, Aleesha! This is definitely a complicated topic, but seeing the big picture helps so much. Please feel free to share with teachers and/or classmates! -BOGO
I'm currently on vacation but I'm advanced studying and oh boy this is such a wonderful video, it's easy to understand compared to all the estimated 50+ videos I've watched this week 😭 thank you!
Hi Claudia! What level of content do you need? I have study guides for both photosynthesis and respiration, but they're more advanced than this video/ (They correspond to my longer videos on photosynthesis and respiration, which are at a university level). Sending love from Boston! -BOGO
Ah this was really helpful, thank you!! Your content is so under rated- this video didn't even show up in the first 30 or so videos in the search results for 'cellular respiration animation'. But I was determined to find it coz a friend at school told me watch it. I'm sure you will get big though in time, just keep uploading quality content like this. I've subscribed to support you till then!🌹
Thanks, IceCream! I'm so glad you found it and thought my stuff was helpful! That makes me quite happy. And yes, my channel is definitely small, but I don't want to buy fake views, fake subscribers, fake likes, etc : ) I plan to stay 100% organic! Feel free to share, and thanks for the sub!
BOGObiology ah sure!❤️ And well for future projects you could consider doing some work on inheritance and variation...I can see you've already done a couple on them and they're really good so continue along that line, maybe? Or whatever topic you choose really, any and all videos you upload will definitely help students somewhere ^_^
This is a lifesaver. I couldn't understand all the other videos that my teacher gave me because they would go too quick and it sounded like a mess. But this actually helped me a lot. Defenlity checking out other videos from your channel.
Actually u were amazing during this entire video explaining all those highly complicated structures in just one para.. . Hats off! For u ❤️😘u amazingly covered up all that in one video. I wish I could reach to that video during my 9th class. Now I am in 10th .
Thanks, Krystal! I feel the same way, which is why I make these videos. I also really wish these had been around when I was struggling in undergrad! Sending love from Boston! -BOGO
It's a good thing my biology teacher put this video link in the EOC review slides. This was very helpful, you've got my subscribe! I will check out any of your other videos that I can before the EOC next month. Thank you! 😊
Thanks, Htx! I just published a new one today, actually! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rMa9MzP19zI.html Please share so others can find this Photosynthesis-Respiration video, too! Take care! -BOGO
i wish i found ur channel sooner! this is really helpful bc my science teacher makes everything sound so complicated. tysm for this vid i really needed this. imma sub to u because u can really help clear things up.
Thanks! So glad it was helpful. If you think your classmates would also find it helpful, please share it with them! Sending love and best wishes from Boston! -BOGO
I'm in a BIO1010 class right now and still really not getting this stuff. Our first exam is this weekend. Thank you for the straightforward explanation. I still don't get it fully but this is helping me understand more.
Hey Maicey, thanks for the nice note. You're for sure not the only one who thinks there's a lot to learn. It sometimes takes a few trips through the material before it all starts to make sense. Shoot me an email at bogobiology@gmail.com and I'd be happy to send you some guided notes that match the videos, no charge. Love, BOGO
I swear she did haha and it caught be so off guard on an educational biology video. I replayed it like 10x and it took me that long to figure out what she said
@@EvsPersonal HA! Occasionally I include something semi-inappropriate (example, new cellular respiration video includes a fairly raunchy mnemonic to remember the steps of the krebs cycle!) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2_ceHsFmLVk.html This, however, is just me failing to speak clearly when saying "buck the trend" XD -BOGO
Sorry to *hear* that. I'd suggest checking to see if your health insurance will cover reconstruction before proceeding, though. Ears have very small arteries supplying them, so they often require a specialist to reattach them and it's pretty expensive
Thanks, Rowan! If you're taking a plant bio class, I also have decent videos on photosynthesis (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2_ceHsFmLVk.html) and C3 vs. C4 vs. CAM plants (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HbLg4lMpUa8.html) that would probably be helpful at some point. Glad you stopped by! Sending love and best wishes from Boston! -BOGO
Thanks so much, Yuntong! I'm so glad it was helpful. Please feel free to share with your classmates, if you thought it was a helpful video, they probably would, too! Sending best wishes from Boston! -BOGO
Hi, Random! You're so welcome! I'm in the same boat; I'm based in Boston and the entire city is shut down including all the schools and universities. We're all being encouraged to stay home as much as possible except to get medical care and shop for groceries to help slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. We'll get through this! Sending love and best wishes from a distance of 6 feet! -BOGO
@@BOGObiology Same tbh, it went from 25 cases to 54 in 1 full day, and even a kid has it here :(. Hopefully everything will clear up, best wishes to you!!
such a great video i like to chat with you more about some questions about the Mitochondria ability of motilty and the 2 diffrent ways ATP is made in the human body. thanks
Great idea! This has been on my to-do list for a while, especially since I just made a video on mitosis about a month ago. Now if only I could find the time!
Never fear, you'll learn about photosynthesis at increasing levels of difficulty up through at least the end of high school. Elementary school: Plants need sunlight, animals need food, yay! Let's sing a song about plants! Middle school: Plants perform photosynthesis using light from the sun in the chloroplasts, animals perform respiration by breaking down their food, mostly in the mitochondria because the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. Now let's make a model of an animal cell using food. High school: Photosynthesis and cellular respiration both harness processes such as the electron transport chain to exploit proton gradients to transform energy from one type or another. There's a molecule called ATP involved that gets recycled in complicated ways, mitochondria is still the powerhouse of the cell, but the nucleus is definitely not the "boss" of the cell. Big nope on that. College: Giant confusing mess where you learn that there are about a million enzymes involved in every step of this process, and that it rarely works in the idealized way that is portrayed in textbooks. But at least you're pretty sure the mitochondria is still the powerhouse of the cell.
Greetings! Glycolysis generates 4 molecules of ATP, but it "spends" 2 to run the process because active transport is expensive. The krebs cycle "turns" twice, and generates 1 molecule of ATP each time. The ETC is the real money-maker, though. It yields 10 molecules of NADH (which each can recharge 3 molecules of ATP), plus 2 molecules of FADH2 (which an each recharge 2 molecules of ATP). I made a video about it for my students but it's due for an upgrade with neater drawings! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W9mnyqqclUA.html This overview might also be useful: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Vh7vg7zG3cQ.html GOOD LUCK! -BOGO
Hi Waseem! It's probably much too late now, but I did make a detailed video on the electron transport chain! It's linked below. Love, BOGO ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZKC_aRrf1Rg.html
Greetings from Boston! Realistically, I won't be able to research and create the video in time for spring exams, but I will definitely put the ovarian cycle on my list for the future! Good luck with your tests! -BOGO
@@cubic9873 Oh wow, you're MUCH farther away than I thought! I'm based in Boston Massachusetts in the US, and there's a university a few miles from here that's also "BSU". I've never been to the Philippines, but maybe I'll get lucky and find a way to make it happen someday. I'm so glad the video was helpful; I had fun making it. Take care and send my best wishes to your classmates! -BOGO
It's called "travel", it's one of the royalty free jingles that comes with iMovie. I used to add it in because I had a bad microphone at the time that would crackle and make noise; the music covers it up so it's less annoying. I've since bought a better mic so I don't need it. Hope this helps! -BOGO
@@vibolsom8152 Yes, hit the "audio" button (next to titles, backgrounds, etc). Then use the drop down menu to go to theme music and select "travel". Hope that helps!
Ha! It does actually sound like I'm saying "Arabic" doesn't it? When I first saw the comment I thought maybe the subtitles had auto-corrected "aerobic" to "Arabic", but it's just my accent haha. Sending best wishes from Boston! -BOGO
Likely. It is why I made the video to begin with; homework for my own students so they could watch at their own pace. Getting through this amount of content would probably take 2-3 full classes, but instead we got to mess around with plants
