The way the second part of the video clarifies those similar sentences is undeniably helpful, it was very clear to see their differences.

I don't stick my neck out for nobody (no one). Or. I don't stick my neck out for anybody (anyone). # Always remember two negatives in one sentence aren't correct grammatically in English. But everybody speaks like that, it's become a custom nowadays.

*out of* and *out* what is the difference? Walk "out of the door" or "out the door" ? Look "out of the window" or "out the window"? Is it "out of question" or "out of the question"? out of the reach or out of reach?
@fredylopez2477
@fredylopez2477 Месяц назад
Well, this is my point of view; Basically both expressions mean the same, that's to say they're synonyms, the only slight or tiny difference I can see is: - "to walk out the door" means if you wanna leave or go, use the door, I mean, open it up and walk out. DO NOT use the window or other means - "to walk out OF the door" means if you're already standing at the door, just walk out and leave or go. - "Out of THE question" is a fixed expression and as far as I know, it means "Impossible". - "Out of reach" is also a fixed expression and it means "you can't take something easily 'cause you can't reach it. I think the expressions; - out of the reach. - out of question. aren't correct and therefore they don't exist in English but I might be wrong. Thanks for reading my comment.

In the sentence «His car is stuck in _ mud» does Kevin use «a» or «the» with mud? It sounds like «a» to me but wouldn’t it be incorrect since mud is uncountable?
@thelma-7777

@@thelma-7777 That’s what I thought, thanks. Probably I’m hearing that wrong.
@fredylopez2477
@fredylopez2477 Месяц назад
First you texted "his car is STICK in the mud" and that's wrong 'cause that's the verb in present tense, NOT the adjective. "STUCK" is the adjective. "stuck" is the past tense of "stick" as well. And second, He said "his car is STUCK in THE mud" which is correct according to what you texted, mud is an uncountable noun. It's really, pretty hard for a native English speaker to make a mistake in this basic expressions and Kevin's a native speaker, he's not Linguamarina 😄😄😊.
